I love this salon!!! My nails look great, the service is excellent. Everyone is so friendly I feel completely relaxed when I come here. They made my daughter feel extra special for her dance and back to school. They also take great care of my autistic daughter. Prices are reasonable and comparable to other salons in the area.Services: Foot massages

I have been using Kassie for over 13 years… she worked in a local salon in Boonton and I just loved her! You don’t know how good her magical fingers are until you try her! I started going to Cindy for my nails and the gels last 2 weeks at least! Just give it a try!Services: Foot massages

I never leave reviews but I had a horrible experience here and feel compelled to caution others against the acrylic tip service.
- The nail tech was nice but did not understand the shape I wanted (round). They came out as crooked trapezoids. I tried to correct it but she filed one side of one nail and gave up.
- Nail tech repeatedly told me to let her know if there were issues she would fix them. Red flag. To me it indicates that she knew the application was bad.
- Price for new set is $80, higher than anywhere else I’ve been locally. Some places even do the better quality gel tips for less than that. And this was for short tips with just one color and no designs. I tipped $20 so $100 all in and down the drain.
- Within 48 hours I started losing nails. I called on Day 4 with 3 or 4 nails lost. She didn’t sound surprised and agreed to fix them. She then blamed me and my natural nails being too short, and was inflexible and aggressive about setting a time to fix them. It left me with a sour taste.
- By the time of the appointment to fix them on Day 5 I was down to 4 nails. I debated asking for my money back but decided to chalk it off and will never go back. I now have to spend more getting them redone correctly elsewhere.
- By day 6, all 10 nails were gone!
I have been getting tips for 15 years. I have even dabbled in doing my own tips and I know that popping off is a question of technique. Could be improper nail prep, such as not dehydrating; poor quality glue for the extensions and/or acrylic powder; or perhaps off balance apexes.
Always been a nail biter with small nail beds and that has never been a reason for tips to pop off. I’ve worked labor intensive jobs including many years as a server, and never had sets simply pop off. Some Breakage or grow out, sure, but for an entire brand new set to last less than a week can only be a result of poor workmanship.
In short, Joy’s does not have the practice and maybe not even the adequate training for acrylic sets. Don’t waste your time and money on this service here.
