So, so frustrated with Lakeland Bank! I moved months ago and did an address change on our accounts. I just noticed my ATM card expires on 5/23. So I called and asked when will I receive my new card. They said it's being mailed to another address, my old address from over two years ago. I asked if the they see my current address, confirmed and it correct. They said they could mail me a form or I could stop in and change the address for the ATM card. Again I said you have my new address so just change it for the atm card. So now I have to waste time through mail or go to a branch. So now it's being sent to an address I dont live at. Talk about a security breach!!!!!

I have been with this bank since 1987. Every time I try and give them a chance to be competitive, be it a car loan or some type of home loan, they never even come close to the competition. Never! Since 1987, I have purchased about 20 vehicles and 6 homes in the north jersey area and every time I check with Lakeland bank I am always... and I mean always disappointed! This last time I have finally learned my lesson. I am closing my checking account with this bank and will not waste my time ever stepping foot in one of their branches again. As far as I am concerned, Lakeland Bank really needs to do society a favor and just go out of business.

Every single time i need to speak to a representative it is at least a 20 minute wait, and they lock my card for every little thing at least once a week. Even when they call me to confirm there is no fraud, my card stays locked and I have to call them back and wait 20 minutes to get through to them to get it unlocked. When they finally answer they tell me to wait another 10 minutes to use my card, and 20 minutes my card is still locked this is incredible.

Let me start off by saying that I am the biggest pessimist in the world when it comes to big business and dealing with corporations. I am a small business owner and I was a little skeptical of applying for the PPP Loan being offered through the SBA. Was I surprised or what! I was completely overwhelmed with the attention and reassurance I received after applying for the Payroll Protection Plan through Lakeland Bank. I applied on the first day that applications were being accepted, and received an email early the next week from Ed T, the loan officer handling my application. He was emailing me to inform me that my paperwork looked good and he was forwarding my info to the proper department for processing. Me, being the quintessential downer, figured that was the last time I would hear from him. But Lo and Behold, I received another email from him stating I was approved for the full amount of my payroll estimate and would be contacted as it got closer to the closing date. Within a week or so I received an email with the time and date to sign the papers. Fast forward to the end. I signed at 9:00AM and the funds were in my acct by the end of day! I now have the desperately needed funds to keep our business up and running during these tragic times. Kudos to Ed T. the SBA and Lakeland Bank! And I can't forget to thank the women in the Nutley branch who are there for us every day! Thank You! Add to Your Post

Walked into Lakeland Bank in the Bernardsville area this morning to cash a check my customer paid me with. The manager invited me to her booth and asked me what I needed. I explained I needed to cash the check. She quickly returned the check to me with her hands shaking & trembling as if she had a form of Parkinson's Disease stating that there is a $200.00 limit policy on check cashing and she would not cash the check. I almost asked her if she was in fact afflicted with that condition as her hands would not stop shaking. I believe she took a good look at this old brown skinned former Military boy (Since she reminded me to not forget my US Army hat) and concluded that I was not entitled to cash such a check. The only thing I found online regarding any check cashing policy was that they may charge a fee for cashing it or flat out refuse to do so. She didn't refuse, she just told me there was a $200.00 limit.

The reason why so many people are getting hacked is because they use FiServe to maintain their entire online banking and internal banking. They do not care about you as a customer. They will lock your account the second you open it, even if its cash deposited. FiServe is getting hacked and broken into left and right. LakeLand bank does not care whether or not your personal information gets hacked or not just like the guy that said it below. They treat their customers like the crooks. Lakeland wants to steal the fees from accounts that are withdrawn from that hack. Opened a business account and walked into the next day to make a cash deposit the teller couldnt do it without an over ride from the branch manager, that was the first red flag. Already said to myself better close this account because this bank is a bunch of thieves. Tried to use my ATM card, the ATM could see my balance, but these Aholes deactivated my card purposely. They made up some lie that they needed more information from me, and said they would be there when I walked in and closed the account. These asses, where closed when I was on the phone with them and purposely made me drive in traffic just to go to a closed branch!

Overall a good experience. I don't pay ATM fees. I don't get charged a fee for keeping my money here. The ATMS always work. On the inside the tellers are professional, but don't expect a lot of chit chat. I prefer the Summit location as it is more convenient and I think the building is gorgeous. This branch is very nice though.

Worst bank around. My account has been hacked so many times this bank does nothing as long as they are pending transactions. I have to wait until the transaction is complete then they investigate then refund your money. Chase Bank can tell my card was not present for the transaction and immediately refunds your money 24 hours a day. Lakeland Bank only is available during business hours. They could care less about their customers!

I have been banking with the Rt 23 branch in Butler for years, and I've had generally very good service, very little to complain about.
