The falafel sandwiches are superb! The sauce that goes with them has just the right level of spice and creaminess. There are many excellent ingredients you can buy here if you like Middle Eastern cuisine, such as labneh, pickled turnips, several varieties of olive, several date varieties like sukhari rutlab (very sweet and caramel-like, and well worth a try if you have never had them). Also, the owner of this bodega and his family are very kind people who make everyone feel welcome in the store.

A fabulous Greek salad for only $6.75. Delicious, comes with pita bread. Lots of Mediterreanean foods to buy here, stuffed grace leaves, spices. Owner is Egyptian. Reasonable prices.

Super hot day, picked up some falafel sandwiches, greek salad and chick pea salad for dinner,
Everything was fresh and delicious. The feta in the greek salad was very tasty.
Will certainly be back for more soon. A great family run business for our town.

No need to drive all the way to Paterson for Middle Eastern groceries. This friendly family-run place will fill all your needs. Best of all, many products are homemade right in the shop: The falafel, harissa, olives, and Egyptian cheese are to die for, and, because they are homemade, can’t be found in other Egyptian or Turkish or Arabic markets. So fresh! They also have many other products, so it’s a well-rounded market. I can’t wait to go back!

I stopped by yesterday because my neighbor always brings us pastries from Horus which I loved. I’m so glad I did!
The owner warmly greeted me upon entering and even gave me a free sample of an Egyptian cheese (I believe it’s called rumi). It’s delicious, similar to Parmesan with pieces of peppercorn throughout. I brought some home along with hummus and pita. The hummus is smooth, creamy, and garlicky which is how I like it. They have all kinds of things I want to try here so I will definitely be back. This is a wonderful addition to our neighborhood. Thank you Nabil!

Delicious home-made hummus and baklava, a great selection of mediterranean items that are hard to find at other stores, plus basics at very good prices. Lots of good spices - I got a whole bunch of bay leaves for just 75cents!! They have olives too for those who like those, and some international chocolates. Will be back!

This grocery store is amazing! I went in to see if they had falafel. The owner was so kind and took me around the store. I ended up leaving with falafel, pita, olives, and a homemade harissa. Everything looked so delicious! This place is small, but stocked with so many delicious items! Also the prices are great.

What an awesome addition to neighborhood! Navil, the owner, is so friendly and Horus has a great assortment of middle eastern staples as well as some items I didn't even know I wanted (hello fresh made pickled turnips and harissa)! Fair prices and a local business.

I love this shop, newly opened near the cvs and quickcheck on broad street in Bloomfield. So many unique items there and the owners are always kind, listen to suggestions, and recommend new tasty items (imported and home made). Love the tzatziki sauce and hummus!

Come shop @ Horace Mediterranean Grocery on Broad St. Bloomfield, NJ (near CVS). The owner is friendly and knowledgable of Mediterranean products. The store is very clean and the prices are reasonable. Make this this your go to grocery store, especially for the Holiday season ?
