If I could leave zero stars I would! I went to Arlene’s with my daughter for a wedding dress this past May. My daughter is not getting married until October of 2025.
Our first place dress shopping since my daughter got engaged in April. We were very excited being that this was her first time ever going. The shop was very dated, but that’s beside the point.
We were very open minded and although the lady who was there by herself was helping multiple customers,, she was kind enough.
Long story short my daughter finds a princess dress off the sales rack at a great price. I asked the lady, could I put a deposit down on dress and if she decides on another dress here or somewhere else, could I put the deposit towards something else? She replied absolutely. I was thinking, well I still need a dress or I could get accessories or my husband will need a tux so we could use it towards that.
Well, a month goes by and yes my daughter finds a dress elsewhere. I eventually call Arlene’s back to tell them that my daughter got another dress. I said, could I use the deposit towards something else? She was kind of short with me and said well the person you have to speak to isn’t here call back next week. I probably called back like a week or two later and lady was like no, you can’t use deposit towards anything, too much time went by. (a period of approximately 2 months)
She proceeds to get very loud with me and says sarcastically, like I’m a child, well this is a lesson to be learned, don’t put a deposit down unless you’re absolutely sure!! I said excuse me there’s no reason to be rude and nasty. I said I was told that I would be able to use the deposit towards something else. She’s like well now we can’t sell the dress or some nonsense like that. I was like what do you mean the dress was just put on hold, why can’t you put it back on the rack?? That makes absolutely no sense what so ever!! She proceeded to be rude and I was like, well you basically just stole my deposit and I still need to get a dress and accessories, you just lost my business, I will never recommend anyone to this place!! Terrible way to conduct business!!
We ended going to a beautiful bridal shop in Englewood the way you should be treated when you’re going wedding dress shopping for the first time!!
The name is Jaehee Bridal in Englewood. I’m happy to say she got her dream dress there. ?

I can’t say enough good things about this shop. I am going to recommend all family and friends here not only because the beautiful dresses but because of the beautiful people and how much they are willing to do for their brides, you can tell they really care. I came with a Last-minute emergency and They told me I could come in that day and the seamstress fixed my dress in less than two weeks.(And I’m telling you there was many problems with it from my original seamstress) When I first visited the shop they said that they try to have beautiful dresses at an affordable price so that Every bride can look and feel their best, which I appreciate. Also, a special shout out to their headpieces. They are the most beautiful ones I’ve ever seen Originally came here for my sister’s dress, and I peaked at the headpieces and loved them so much I Seriously don’t think I’ve seen nicer ones at any other bridal shop When I went back, I had to get one. I don’t think anyone would be disappointed from the dresses and the people here!! My heart goes out to all of them <3

I cannot express how delighted I am with my wedding dress. It was everything I dreamed of and more! The dress was absolutely beautiful and elegant, with every detail crafted to perfection. The moment I put it on, I knew it was the one. I received so many compliments from our guests. Thank you for making my dream wedding dress a reality. The quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail exceeded all my expectations. I owe all of that to your incredible staff, Jules, Jess, and Debbie. You made my wedding day truly magical, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect dress. I will forever cherish the memories of wearing it! I highly recommend this shop for future brides. I had a wonderful experience with Jewel, Debbie and Jess they made all my visits smooth. They treated me like family until the very end. Accommodated my mother who had a broken ankle to see me try on my dress. The alterations was immaculate and the cost was budget friendly as well. I had no complaints from my bridesmaids as well. 5/26/2024 bride. I truly thank you for everything. I would recommend to anyone looking for dresses for their wedding.

Had a fitting appointment today. Couldn't find my dress, disorganized,
I'm standing there waiting to have someone tell me what to do or where to go. I found my dress and took it home.
Thank God I'm not the one getting married bc this is NOT a place I would go to
If you were SO busy then you shouldn't over book.

Extremely thoughtful and kind group of people. As a plus-size bride, I was very nervous about trying on dresses because I was worried I wouldn't fit into anything. I'm beyond excited to say that Arlene's Bridal found me the perfect dress. I'm getting married in less than a month and I am beyond excited - the alterations experience was seamless and the dress ended up fitting me like a glove. If I could give this place a million stars, I would.

Where do I start?! Debra and her team made me feel so cared for and really listened to me during the tailoring process of my wedding dress. I tried on the first dress and knew right away it was the one. They set the ambiance with music to get us all in the mood. From that moment on, they put in so much effort to ensure the dress fit like a glove. They helped me pick my jewelry and veil. They were so sweet and really made my bridal party and mom feel welcomed during my appointments. I highly recommend you visit these ladies. They are a little family and will make sure your wedding dressing shopping experience is one to remember.

So I would just like to say that since we walked in to the store, it was a big mess. One of these ladies did not want to let us in because we were to much people and then this other lady Debbie was rude from the beginning not only did she continuously say that she didn’t have the dress that the bride wanted, but she continued to make up excuses for not having the dress and when we were finally ready to leave, she referred to all of us as a tribe, which is culturally disrespectful and we tried to confront her about it she continue to yell in our faces, and said that we were embarrassing ourselves when we were just trying to stick up for what we knew was wrong, but that’s not the only thing she was extremely disrespectful to her coworker jessie that was trying to help us and the bride, the entire time I advise that nobody come to the store it’s a Store from hell.

The amount of 1 star reviews that have been put on in the last couple of days by the same disgruntled group of people is disgusting! This beautiful family shop deserves 5 stars and nothing less! I have not only shopped here for my wedding but I have referred at least 5 brides who got their gowns and bridesmaids dresses here. All our experiences were wonderful, we were well taken care of and were made to feel special. Any time there was a problem Debbie made sure to go out of her way to make sure it was resolved.

My cousin filled out a form & to make it clear it was 10 of us and 2 kids who were not misbehaving at all also I was told by a manager “kids don’t count” so in total we were 10 not 15. Another thing we did not try to remove any customers belongings big mistake to try and lie. This customer wanted to take her things and my aunt said it’s okay it’s fine leave it and she said u sure if anything she seemed unsure but never did we try to remove her things. It’s okay to speak up about a bad experience everyone has a different type of experience it can be good or bad. Isn’t this what leaving reviews is for ? Don’t try to lie though & say we didn’t have a bad experience and blame it on us.

I was recommend by a family friend to go to Arlene's Bridal because I wasn't having any luck online. So I went with my bride tribe. Me & my 3 sisters. The experience was nothing short of amazing & professional. Debbie was an absolute sweetheart & her & J made sure my family & I were comfortable. Now I was also there when the unfortunate drama unfolded & it's sad that people can't see when they are wrong & instead of being honest they make up lies. I am all about respect & honest. It was a very crazy day when I came for my dress fitting. A group of what was supposed to be 8 ppl turned into 15 ppl. There were literally no sears and you can see Debbie trying to stay as professional as possible. She even told them that they had too many ppl and they should have paid for a private consultation. She was not wrong or rude but some ppl like to take advantage & then play victim. It was super uncomfortable & inconsiderate to bring your whole family where there would be other brides coming in. So I simply tried on my dress quickly & left. Those women were even trying to remove my personal belongings, so they could have another chair because the 7 they had wasn't enough. I can only speak on what I personally heard & witnessed & it absolutely wasn't good. The team at Arlene's is amazing & I would 1000% recommend to anyone.

First and last time. Customer service is all about providing helpful and friendly assistance. What they did was very unprofessional and the total opposite. It was very unsettling and frustrating. Unfortunately we weren’t able to receive that helpful and friendly assistance.

My family and I had a really bad experience. My cousin had made an app at this place and had listed the amount of people coming. When she got there she was given an attitude immediately which is honestly not right given at the end of the day she is a customer who not only had an app but let the place know about how many ppl will be attending too and this wasn’t free it’s paid, which is okay so then also come correct to your customers! Anyways after that she felt more comfortable with a lady named Jessie helping her, she felt her vibe was genuine and overall she was so kind to all of us. However we did notice someone named Debbie kept pulling her out and would yell at her not only did we see it but we heard the things being said. It made us feel really bad for Jessie especially since she was great at customer servicing. However since the dress won’t come on time she was willing to buy the dress that was in store but she did want to ask if there was any discount since this dress was in store hung with other dresses, I believe this was a trigger to Debbie because my cousin just asked to see if it was a possibility if not she was willing to pay. However the way Debbie reacted and the things that were said were very disrespectful. At the end I did tell her to be careful with the way things are said because not everyone takes it the same and there’s certain stuff you don’t say to your customers, I told her I respect her opinion but she also should respect us and how we feel, she proceeded to say I’m wrong. I don’t understand why that came out of her mouth given I was just expressing myself that was definitely uncalled for because never did anyone point out the nasty behavior she had until she made a whole scene and told all of us to get out and leave.
