“I live in upstate New York and was looking to buy a used car, I wanted to get a pre-purchase inspection since I would be buying site unseen. I found Alexander’s Auto when searching for auto shops near the dealer from which i’d be purchasing. I called Alexander’s to schedule an appointment and informed them of what I’d be doing. They assured me that it was no problem and they wouldn’t provide any info regarding the inspection to the seller, only directly to me. They performed a thorough inspection which highlighted many areas not seen in photos from the seller or mentioned by the seller. Alexander’s also asked good questions regarding my intent with the car to help me make a better informed decision based on the things that needed work as to whether it would be worth the cost needed to get the car in shape. The owner offered sage advice and wisdom on the used car purchase experience and gave me the insight needed to make an informed decision and moreover things to think about with future buying experiences. “In late June, my car started acting funny and eventually wouldn't go into gear. No warning light came on until the evening it just wouldn't go into gear. I had already scheduled an appointment elsewhere and called my auto insurance provider to have the vehicle towed to that shop. Mark, the owner of Challenger Towing arrived and saw the car wouldn't go into gear. He was fine towing it to the other shop, but said it as most likely the transmission. He mentioned that many newer cars have CVT transmissions and they don't provide as much warning compared to older cars. He took the car to his shop and verified it was the transmission. I'd once said that I'd never pay for a new transmission, but we had just paid the car off two months prior. I had no desire to take on another car payment so quickly. I got the extended warranty on the transmission. I know also know about CVT transmissions and didn't before. When it's time for a new car, I plan to ask if it has a CVT transmission because they tend to only last for 100,000 miles according to my online research. Our Rogue was just under 89,000 miles when the transmission went out. You can trust Challenger Towing - good people, great service.”

Offered fair price for the car (and to drive out to tow it) and paid cash on the spot. Just be honest and you’ll have an easy experience with nice guys and a smooth process. Saved me a lot of time dealing with an old car I wanted to get rid of.”
“Had a rust spot on my hood, sap stain on my driver's door and the window pillars on the sides were badly faded. They repaired the rust and repainted the hood to match perfectly! “I need to write this review with honesty. I hit my Tesla Model Y while backing up in the passenger side rear side. It needed dent and paint work. I got the quote from several Tesla approved Collision centers and the quote was PRICEy. Most of them wanted to change the tailgate and the truck door where the actual dent was there. I showed the car to Mike team and they called me after 2 weeks for service. Believe it or not, the quote was much cheaper and they said attempt to fix the dent without replacing it. Mike took exactly a week time to fix the car. They are very much expert in fixing dent and technically sound. Now the car looks like new and no one can recognize the where the dent was. I highly highly recommend if you have any problem in Tesla. They not only expert in body work but also in tire rotation and other services. If you want to fix your car with much cheaper price, my recommendation goes to CARSTAR, Feasterville-Trevose.”

“I recently had the privilege of having an inconsiderate driver damage my car by breaking the passenger sideview mirror and run off like a frightened child without leaving a contact number. I’m guessing it was a very petite individual driving a monster SUV. You know the ones who can’t see over the steering wheel.Regardless, the mirror needed to be fixed. I wanted to get a number of estimates to see what might be a reasonable cost. I choose 4 auto-body repair facilities, all within a half mile of each other along the Rt. 130 corridor in Burlington Twp., NJ.It was a great experience as well as a cautionary tale that I could relay to anyone reading this review.Shop #1 gave me an estimate of $1,500; this included replacing the glass mirror, cowl, paint the cowl and blend the passenger door to match the cowl. Now I’m thinking I might have to get my insurance company involved, which I was not expecting. Shop #2 - CARSTAR - wanted $50 to give me an estimate. WHAT??? Why? “Some people aren’t serious about getting the repair.” Well, slap my head and give CARSTAR a really bad review. Shop #3 - replace the entire mechanism - remove and replace the entire mirror apparatus, paint and blend the passenger door, front quarter panel and the cowl of the mirror to match the rest of the car. This shop came in at $2,800. Now I’m thinking the $1,500 estimate is looking reasonable.Lee’s Autobody was Shop #4. Mr. Lee looked at the broken mirror, determined that the mechanism to move the mirror was working perfectly, so that didn’t need to be replaced. Just need to replace the glass mirror, replace cowl, paint and blend the new cowl. $350. My eyes lit up. I’ve found my man!! All through the process I found Mr. Lee to be forthright and honest; going out of his way to assure me that the job could be done quickly. I entrusted my car to Lee’s Auto-body and had my car back in 2 days. Mr. Lee completed the work to my complete satisfaction. As a bonus, he popped out a dent in the rear quarter panel, AT NO CHARGE!!! The work he performed was to my satisfaction, his prices were reasonable and his honesty and personality were exceptional. I would highly recommend Lee’s Auto-body as your first stop should you need auto-body repair. From my experience, you will not be disappointed. Thumbs UP to LEE’S AUTO-BODY. Thank you Mr. Lee.”

“After my 2005 Honda was rear-ended by an uninsured motorist and my insurance company would have totaled it, my service station recommended Carlson's. When Carlson’s called with an estimate, my son, who knows cars, talked with Greg Bowen, after which he assured me that the estimate was a bargain, and I would be lucky if they could fix the car for that amount. They did! It looks better than before it was hit, it is spotless inside and out, and best of all, even though the itemized bill was higher by several hundred dollars than their first assessment, they only charged me the original estimate. I cannot recommend them too highly.”
