Never thought I'd write a review for a grocery store, but I wanted to publicly thank one of the employees, Ping, who assisted and went out of his way for me last week.
I was in the area for work and stopped in to shop for a few things. Not knowing the layout of the store, I had trouble finding one item, which was one of my husband's favorite snacks so I had to get it!
I approached Ping in the produce area to ask him where it was. The item wasn't in his area, so although he wasn't sure, he went out of his way to help me find the item. This item was on the other side of the store. He asked two associates to make sure where it was and personally walked me to the item. He could have just pointed in the direction of it or told me which aisle, but he went out of his way to personally help me. Thank you for your wonderful customer service and kindness, Ping!

i just had a horrible experience at the Bernardsville ShopRite. I was attempting to pick up a grocery order placed the day before by one of my customers. I pulled into one of their pickup parking spaces, and texted the word HERE, as instructed. my customer also sent the required text. My phone says the text was delivered at 9:20am. No one ever responded. So, I went to the location where they assemble the orders. A store employee was in the area, a tall young white boy, but he ignored me, never said "may I help you? " So I looked at the carts with the grocery orders, but they were identified by numbers, not by the customers name. So I went to the managers desk and asked that they call the assembly area, and ask them to bring the order out to the managers desk. A heavy-set young woman identified herself as being the store manager, and asked me to follow her to the assembly area. I said that I have been waiting a long time and no one brought the order out to the car. She lied to me and said that i never sent the text message to tell them i was there. I called her out on her lying, and she got very angry. she said that i was "disrespectful" to her employees. I am trying to find out who her boss is. But i am getting conflicting information.

Young cashier on register 4 did not help me bag my 2 orders. He didn’t even end the first order and started scanning the second order then asked where did it end when I had the divider between each order. I bagged for 10 minutes while he conversed with his coworker. It’s Easter Sunday. It would’ve been lovely to have had some help and someone who was paying attention.

I was just prevented from using the self checkout lane because I have 21 items in my cart and the limit is 20 items or less. There were multiple open registers and no line for self checkout. The lady who told me I could not do self checkout was also incredibly rude about it.

Two stars only because they’re nearby and I haven’t seen any raccoons. They are regularly short staffed which affects the stocking of products, customer service and check out. Roxbury Mall provides the experience I seek from a grocery store. It’s worth the commute.

I just stepped out of this ShopRite after paying at self checkout. The store manager comes running behind me yelling - you haven’t paid!!I showed her my receipt at which point she says, the terminal said you did not pay!It was disrespectful behavior towards a customer for her to come out yelling in the parking lot. No wonder superstores are killing places like ShopRite. Get your technology fixed and stop being disrespectful to customers!
