WORST banking ever.. their communication skills are horrible. Wait times are ridiculous song with the fact their staff is horrible. They literally left me high and dry with took kids taking my truck when I made payments to my loan an kept it current. They are horrible!!!! Go somewhere else to finance for an auto loan or personal or regular banking….

Overall this bank offers decent products and that is not my problem with them. I was drawn to them by their strong credit card offering, and it works mostly like a credit card in 2023 should, except their online banking is antiquated and they refuse to offer any reasonable method of auto payment if you want to pay your balance each month from anything other than their own Affinity checking account. I have banked with over a dozen banks who all offer a monthly auto pay in full option because who wants to manually log in to schedule payments every month, or else get dinged with late payment fees and derogatory marks? I have been a customer for a year and have told them regularly over this time that they should add a credit card autopayment and they have not done anything or taken my concern seriously. I imagine their other products are fine and the customer service might care for you as much as any group of decent people but unfortunately I have not had a good experience with them thus far and do not appreciate their rigidity toward my suggestion of features that would benefit their customers like myself.

Dysfunctional. It took two weeks to open my account, the ability order checks online never worked, and I requested to close my account more than three weeks ago and they still have not done so, yet they keep charging me fees.

Time to move on. Customer service has definitely declined over the years. Emailing or trying to call is comical. Had to argue to turn a secured card into a non-secured after over 4 years of it being secured and paid on time.Need to evaluate the staff and start giving some the boot and praise those that do pick up the slack. I shouldn’t have to deal with the same miserable people year after year.

They are crooks. They charge u for every little possible thing. I have a auto loan everytime I make a payment I'm charged a fee to process a payment. Also trying to get ahold of someone is a joke here. Everytime I call to try and get ahold of someone I sit on my phone for 30 minutes and many of times I've gotten someone to answer They hang up the phone super unprofessional

The only good thing about this bank is the app. The customer service is virtually non-existant, calling is impossible and to use the chat you have to get lucky. applied for a car loan, and after OVER A WEEK of waiting for them to respond and get this going I had to go somewhere else

So many times people come to review boards to complain, but I wanted to make this post to say thank you to Sherry and Chadine in the Basking Ridge call center. Chadine went above and beyond to assist me, and I had to let her supervisor know she is doing an amazing job! In talking with her manager Sherry, I realized she also has a great supervisor which is likely why the service was above and beyond, give these women raises!!!!! I do a lot online to avoid service reps in person, but I'd glady pay an in person visit to these 2! Thank you for the help this morning it was greatly appreciated!

I have been trying to reach an actual person for 3 days. So far, right now, I am still waiting to speak to someone for 35 minutes. The options offered through their website do not apply to me & I need to speak to someone. Their web chat does not work. Very frustrating and the branches are too far away to drive to. I am going to be forced to close my accounts.

Worst financial institution I have ever dealt with. My husband financed his auto loan through them. I do his loan payments online. Two different months we went online to pay and it said that we’ve been locked out and have to call the 1-800 number. We call but the issue is that you can NEVER get a person on the phone. Wait times have always been well over 30 minutes. My last hold time was an hour and 20 min. I gave up. After a week of daily calls and not getting ahold of anyone I call again Friday and after 42 min FINALLY get an answer. I ask why we keep getting locked out and she says because you made your payment late, it’s 4 days past due. I said no it was on time when I tried to pay I just couldn’t get ahold of anyone at your d*** branch! So now we’re delinquent for lack of help from Affinity and her answer to why we keep getting locked out was “I dunno” and followed up with “you’ll just have to call us and make payments if it does it again.” But I can’t ever get through and it makes me late on payments! I could cry from frustrationJust stay away and save yourself seriously, literally any bank/credit Union would be better.Edit: If Affinity replies to this with a “please contact us about this issue” I’m going to scream because I CANT get ahold of you guys! That’s the problem!

BEWARE - THEY ARE LIARS AND THIEVES. During the pandemic they supposedly offered deferments but they deny them no matter how hard Covid affected your life. Secondly, when I switched insurance companies, without even asking they added a forced CPI for $2100 to my car loan. They will do whatever they can to screw you over. STAY AWAY!!!

I've had an auto loan with this bank for 3 months and it's been nothing but headaches since then. Unfortunately, their mistakes have messed with my credit and I can not refinance with another company until my disputes go through. When I started my loan I gave them proof of full coverage insurance. They "lost" that. How you lose a visual document beats me. Then instead of reaching out and asking for another copy, they charged me a $1500 fee. When I made my payments in the months since they haven't been going to my auto loan they have been going to this fee. So they have been reporting all my payments as missed because the payments I made they took it upon themselves to redirect to this fee they incorrectly charged me. I have been spending weeks on the phone trying to get this fixed because my credit is tanking daily over this. Everyone I have ever spoken to with them is arrogant and often cuts me off. 10/10 WOULD NOT RECCOMEND. RUN.
