8/28 3:30 pm: The facility is fine. But the rude balding man with red cheeks behind the counter is a total j**** I asked one question about passport renewal forms and he started getting short about when I had last applied for a passport. I was a child I don't know when my passport was last renewed. I'm never coming back here I'd rather pay for parking in summit than be barked at by midlife crisis man.

In all honesty, I only ever come in here to buy stamps, but I've found that the people behind the counter are invariably friendly and helpful, and the lines have never been very long (at least that's been my experience so far). The parking situation is the only down side, and can be confusing if you're not from the area. You have to pull into the shopping center (or strip mall; I'm not sure which it would "technically" qualify as), travel 1-way past the Dunkin Donuts (used to be a Boston Market) and a few other stores, and then pull into whatever available space you can find. Pulling in isn't so much the problem as backing out, as the cars that are coming in tend to do so at a high rate of speed. Then again, I've become a timid driver in my old age.Sometimes I'll park on the less crowded side of the (small) shopping center in order to avoid that potential hazardous pitfall.Pulling back out onto Springfield Ave. can be a pain in the neck too. You can only pull out in one direction, which is not the direction that takes me home. A relatively minor annoyance, though, when I consider how quickly and painlessly I'm able to buy my postage stamps. And, on a side note, whatever happened to the Wanted posters that used to hang from post office walls? I never recognized any of the thugs, desperadoes, terrorists, bank robbers or felonious maniacs pictured on them, but I always derived a certain morbid entertainment value from perusing them. I guess "America's Most Wanted" on TV made them obsolete? Inquiring minds want to know...If I happen to be in the area, this is the post office I prefer to patronize.I can't speak for their mail delivery, or how adeptly they handle incoming packages, or how well they process money orders, etc.But if you're interested only in buying stamps, this place is very highly recommended.

The hours suck for a USPS and they only offer a drop box for letters out front. Good customer service and clean building.

I'm surprised at the negative reviews. All the people that have waited on me have been great. Polite, helpful, friendly.

I would give no stars if I could. My family sent a package overnight from this facility. When it didn't arrive they did not offer any assistance and just stated "it's not heard here there's nothing we can do". Turns out from speaking to other facilities there were efforts that could have been made to influence delivery which the other post office did diligently. Staff was not helpful, would not disclose their names and the initial employee was rude and taken off the call by another employee. Terrible experience and service.

Amazing service. We have no issues when sending out packages. The carries is great when answering questions and is giving us help with proper materials.

I have always had pleasant interactions at the Berkeley Heights post office. After a terrible experience at the East Hanover post office today (town I work in), it really made me appreciate the high level of service at my local BH post office. Thank you!

For some reason, shipping is a daunting task to me. The Berkeley Heights Post Office consistently helps me navigate the process with patience and kindness. Thank you!

So much better than my local post office in Short Hills. Ziggy got me in and out in record time with a smile! I love my local postal carriers, but for window service BH is terrific!

I love my local post service and I appreciate all the staff there, especially during Covid19. I know my mailman personally, the same individual who has delivered mail continuously on my route for years, and the many faces in the office who remained over the years and patiently helped me ship packages, process passports, and buy postage. In my 20 years in Berkeley Heights I have never experienced poor service or racism, and I appreciate the small town feel and familiar faces.

Went to this Post Office yesterday and had an Amazing experience with a lady, I believe her name was Tara. The wait was short but she still thanked be for being patient. She offered great solutions for my needs, was very patient ,educated ,knowledgeable and most of all friendly & kind hearted. Great first impression. Highly recommend this location to anyone thanks to Tara’s service.

I was searching for a post office near me on google and this place popped up. After reading the reviews I was hesitant on going to this location but I needed to drop off my package ASAP. I don't know why there's so much bad reviews but I felt compelled to write one when I got home. This post office was very pleasant. The worker's greeted you nicely and service was fast and efficient. The "Chinese" woman was very helpful and not lazy at all! In fact she was clear in her communication with what she was going to do with my package and I was in and out of that building in less than 4 minutes. It was a very good experience and I would definitely use this place to mail other mails in the future.
