“The room was clean, and there was a king bed but they keep the temperature at 80°. It's so hot, so uncomfortable you have to turn the air conditioner on. It's 29° outside.”

“I gave 4 stars because I hate that high end hotels do not make it convenient for guest. I like doing my own laundry and I only drink certain liquids BUT we don’t have access to refrigerator without charge. They did have filtered water in our suite which I truly appreciated. They also have turndown service in evening. These things and being very safe and quiet make it worth the stay.

The hotel itself and staff are very nice. Great location. Certain rooms allow view of Statue of Liberty and New Jersey across Hudson River. It’s near the Brookfield mall and about 1 mile from World Trade Center memorial.
The gym is very nice and clean. The only issue was there were 3 peloton bikes but only 1 worked.

Rooms: We stayed in suite which den had let out sofa. The coffee is delicious!!!

Safety: Very very safe area and quiet”

“We were very happy with the hotel. The rooms were very attractive and clean. Particularly noteworthy is the authentic friendliness of the staff. We were also happy with the location. The location is ideal for exploring the south of Manhattan or taking the ferry to Brooklyn/Williamsburg. The hotel is also in a quiet location by New York standards. Especially compared to Midtown, it is quieter and there are fewer strange characters walking around. However, you can hear air conditioning and other pipes. We could live with that.”

“The Beekman is beautiful. We booked a basic room and it was small, but standard I'm sure for New York. One thing that did frustrate us was that, in a room with extremely limited space, the hotel chose to take up a huge chunk of it with a snack and beverage cart (with snacks and beverages that were not complimentary). It feels very odd that a 5 start hotel would try to nickel and dime you with chips and bottled water. There was a mini fridge under the cart, so we thought that it at least served some kind of purpose, but when we went to put leftovers in there we found it to be completely packed to the brim with more drinks that we had to pay for to drink. We weren't even able to use a basic hotel room amenity because they were trying so hard to sell us stuff! It cheapened the experience for us a bit. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful and very clean. Plenty of space for the two of us to get ready. Room service was wonderful and came twice a day, once for cleaning and again for turn down service. We only had one issue that we needed help with and concierge was very helpful and efficient. The hotel was quiet for the most part, but our room was not facing any main street. We did notice that the hotel has a lot of younger patrons, and hosts a lot of events (there were like 4 weddings while we were there), so there was some unruly hallway noise late at night. It woke us up a few times but not enough to really cause an issue. Based on less than stellar reviews, we chose not to eat at the restaurant(s) or bar, but they were packed every single night. If you want to eat there, you probably need a reservation! We enjoyed our stay overall, but would probably not book again only because we found ourselves spending so much time walking to other neighborhoods for food, drinks, shopping, and activities. If the Beekman is close to the things you want to do, I would recommend!”

“Gild Hall is a perfect, quaint boutique hotel with a lot of charm. The ambiance of the hotel is added to by the restaurant and bar all attached and open to guests as well as the public. The location was perfect for my wife and I to spend a night in the Financial District, happy hour drinks, a good meal, and a show in Brooklyn all within such close distance. Rooms were a good size, very clean, and with a modern design. I will definitely look to stay here again anytime I have events upcoming in Manhattan.”

“Wow. What a treat. From the moment you enter, the personalized service exceeds expectations. Details matter and that have it down. Rooms are chic and spacious. The rooftop bar has a stunning skyline view at sunset, the perfect start to a long evening regardless of where you go for dinner, but don’t miss the food in both restaurants, designed by Pierre Gagnaire. Head to Tsistou, their speakeasy off the lobby, for a nightcap and ask for AJ. The absolute best! Bring your black card. $$$$”

“FREE PARKING!...YES!Don't let this little independent hotel fool you. From the outside it might look like a small no name hotel, but once you get inside you realize what a nice hotel this is. It is extremely nice clean and the staff is very accommodating. Check in and check out or lightning fast. Got a little fridge, microwave safe the furniture is nice and newer and the sheets are clean and comfortable. This place is literally at the entrance to the Holland Tunnel and the train to go into new york. But most importantly it's free parking! Literally the only hotel in 100 miles that has free parkingI travel all over for work and stay at several hotels per month. This one just made my favorite list.”

“Beautiful apartments in a very good location. 10 minutes walk to WTC, 3 minutes to Rector St. Kitchen fully equipped, bathroom clean. Sofa bed was sagging. Enough storage space for clothes and suitcases. The special APP is used, among other things, for check-in and check-out. In case of earlier arrival or later departure, the stay can be adjusted slightly.Rooms: Very spacious for NYC. Very well equipped - nothing was missing. As already mentioned, when there are four guests, a sofa bed is used as a bed. It was worn out in our apartment and actually unusable.Nearby activities: WTC, 9/11 Memorial, Ferry to Liberty Statue, Wall St, Ferry to Staten Island, HeliPort Manhattan,…..Safety: No problems!!!Walkability: 10 minutes to WTC, Battery Park, Wall St etc. Starbucks, restaurants, shops nearby. To the subway: 3 minutes”

“Excellent location. Yes, you can use this hotel as a base of operations to explore New York City. It is directly across the street from the PATH Train, and you can be in NYC in about 20 minutes. The parking situation is also good, and they charge a small fee which is a fraction of what you would pay in NYC. It is easy to get in and out of the garage. The service here is also excellent, the free breakfast is much better than the average motel, and there are 3 or 4 good restaurants adjacent. The quality of the room is also superior. Clean, comfortable, quiet, with a full kitchen, full sofa and sitting area, big screen TV, wifi and heat/ac worked perfectly. Nice bathroom with walk in shower. They also have good security and I did not notice any crime or chaos in the area. I commuted easily into NYC every day and overall had a great experience.Safety: Felt safe the entire time”

“Chris at the front desk was fantastic! He texted me before our arrival. He was at the front desk when we arrived. He told us about restaurants in the area gave us a list of them and told us about all of the amenities. He was just a breath of fresh air! Just so friendly and personable.. the kind of person that all companies should want at the face of their businesses.Rooms: Very modern and spacious.Nearby activities: Art shopsWalkability: You can walk to the art shops, the mall, lots of restaurants and farmers market. Just a really cool area!Food & drinks: Restaurant and bar on site - great food and lounge area. Tried the Moscow margarita during happy hour .. it was great!Noteworthy details: Very artsy hotel, cool guitars on the walls. Has parking and valet parking. Only 35-minute ride to NYC Manhattan.”

“We chose this hotel primarily for its location but it really delivered on so many levels. The rooms are small but very functional. The bed is super comfy, the shower is powerful and the toiletries are excellent. No kettle in the room but hot water readily available from the lobby coffee bar. Staff are really friendly and helpful - Alejandro in particular went above and beyond! The $200 urban fee for a 6 night stay , payable on arrival was a shock and the only sour note on an otherwise excellent stay.I will definitely recommend Arlo SoHo to friends and if I’m back in NY, will be a returning guest. Keep doing what you do Arlo Soho!”

“Would absolutely stay here again. They were in a location that wasn't hard to get to, but wasn't the easiest either. Beds were super comfy, room was clean, staff was amazing. The breakfast was missing breakfast meats, but the made on demand omelets were delicious!”

“I chose this hotel because it was on the cheaper side. So i.agine mu surprise when I get there to find one of the nucest places I've stayed. It smelled so clean and really was clean. The pool and fitness areas were kept clean and all of the staff were friendly. This place is great and if we ever go back I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

Rooms: I got a larger room bc there was 2 adults and 2 teenagers .. it was super roomie and nestled in a quiet corner. It was really clean and the beds were beyond comforta!

Safety: We were able to park and not worry for an entire week. The only ppl that can get into the parking garage are ppl staying and employees. I loved not having to worry about my vehicle.

Walkability: It was right around the corner from a free shuttle to the port authority downtown NYC. Super convenient.

Food & drinks: They have a decent selection of drinks and snacks you can purchase. Along with a bunch of essentials you may forget when packing for a trip.

Noteworthy details: They were super nice and very helpful. Our first night the airconditioning broke..we had to move rooms but they had it up and running first thing the following morning and we're very apologetic. They were more than happy to answer any questions we had about the area, things to do and the best way to do them.”

“Our stay was made AMAZING by Nicole H. in particular! After a long and extremely humid car ride from Toronto to Jersey City (10 hours) we arrived exhausted and ready to relax. After telling Nicole about our tiring travel day, she offered us free breakfast during our stay. That, in addition to the cookies offered at check-in, made us feel so much better. She even provided free food and drink vouchers for my parents’ anniversary. Thank you, Nicole!”

The bed was comfortable and I had a great night's sleep every night. One thing that really stood out to me was the hotel's location. It was so easy to get around the city with the subway station just a few steps away from the hotel. “The worst stay you can ask for!!!!!! Disgusting, loud, and the rooms look like hospital rooms, the door was breaking and had mold on it. Dirt on the floors and just disgusting. Don’t come here!!!!!”

“We received the Amex room upgrade and were thrilled with the size of the room, including the bathroom. The pillows and towels were impressive and we have decided to purchase the same ones for our home. The service was impeccable - very responsive to email. They booked our car from JFK and back and it turned out to be a very reasonable price with excellent service. The location was convenient to a great restaurant - Giglio - and walking distance from the WTC and the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. The Greenwich made our trip to Lower Manhattan a great experience.”

“The staff, everyone...top notch! The front desk, doorman, luggage coordinators....yes please.Even the adjacent Starbucks...I entered the place and she said, "hello freind". That might not mean much to you but in nasty rude world, kindness still touches the heart if many!I will be making this 9/11 area visit an annual one and this Marriott is my choice. Thank you again!”

“A really cool hotel. Rooms are pretty small, although fairly typical for New York City, but the creative use of folding furniture and wall hooks made up for the small footprint. Just right for a long weekend in the city. The lobby is very minimalistic from the street. Just a desk with one or two employees and an elevator attendant. But go up to the 3rd floor and you see the main event: a great restaurant, bar, lounge and basketball court with people hanging out, working and having drinks and socializing. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. And Marriott Bonvoy Elite members are treated very well here. I would highly recommend.Nearby activities: 1.5 blocks from the Oculus and World Trade Center”

“Excellent location in the southern part of Manhattan, much quieter at night than other areas such as Times Square, Soho or Chinatown. In a 5-minute walk you will be at the One World Trade Center and in 15 in the Statue of Liberty ferry area. Our room was large although the bathroom was quite small, and the bed was very comfortable. Quite friendly staff. The worst thing is, at key times the elevator takes a long time due to the influx of people it has.”

“This hotel compared to any other luxury hotel we have stayed at in NYC was the ULTIMATE! . Shout out to Omar and Mia but the entire staff felt dedicated to our total enjoyment. The decor(nautical) and river views were without comparison. The Club level was a fabulous escape which even had a Jazz club. You had to force yourself to leave the hotel for any NY experience as it would force you to leave paradise!”
