Another reviewer nailed it... an LBI Essential! The breadth of goods (hardware, home goods, furniture, grills and more) they carry is mind boggling and very finely tuned to island life. Forget the Home Depot and Lowes, and Target and Walmart for that matter. If Hands doesn't carry it, you don't need it. Super well organized and very friendly staff. Hands is a throwback to earlier days and should not be missed. And prices are great too! (how often do you hear that about any establishment on LBI???)

I stopped in to pick up a couple of sash locks. Found exactly what I wanted at a great price.
Had some time so I walked about the store to check out all the different departments. Everything was very well stocked, organized, etc.
Checked out pricing on some hardware items and paint that I had recently purchased at a big box store on the mainland. I found the prices here to be extremely competitive and in some cases lower than the big box. I Certainly won’t be making a journey off the island in the future unless it’s something that they don’t have.

Hands is an LBI essential business. If I had to describe them, I would say they are somewhere between a department store and a general store.Need a screw go to HandsNeed a sweat shirt go to Hands.Need a polly wood table go to Hands.The people that work there are always friendly, helpful, and they can tell you where to find what they are looking for.

The employees at Hands are very helpful and knowledgeable. We described what we were looking for and they easily located it for us and gave us some helpful tips.

Hands great "to go" store for hardware, household items, and beach stuff you need. Beats driving off the island to Lowes or Home Depot.

It's so nice to have a hardware store on the island. They are very helpful when you need assistance. They have an amazing variety of hardware. Almost every thing you can need.

Needed batteries went to grab them at Hands, women behind the counter was rude. No hello, thank you, just rushing to push you out.I realize I only purchased batteries but she was doing it to everyone. Definitely not a people person.

What happened to HANDS ???Used to have a ton of stuff at low prices - flip flops - sweatshirts all kinds of stuff - it was the go to spot . Now a sweatshirt is $65 .. so sad .The real Lbi keeps fading away . Bye Hands .you will be missed
