Racists at the doors. They allow white people to walk out with huge bags while black people's bags are opened and checked. When confronted with this obvious illegal practice, thry close ranks and cite company policies ( we check bags not purses) . Which is obvious code words for we decide who to check. Since "purses" are frequently bigger than "bags".

This Costco is the same as every other Costco, busy & crowded. However, finding parking right away has never been an issue. It could be if you're someone that likes to park as close as you can to the entrance. The lines for gas are long but they move along at a reasonable pace. Inside the setup is like all other Costco's and well maintained. No matter how busy it is foot traffic moves along unlike the one in Brooklyn NY where is feels like someone is always blocking something. But this has also been the only Costco that has rung me up incorrectly TWICE. First time I caught it before I got to the associates checking receipts at the exit. Then second time I missed it, and the associates missed it.

I come here often and always on a hunt for a great deal. They accept EBT cards. Today I purchased puff jackets for nephews, a dinner room carpet and bunch of frozen food. Also renewed my Executive membership for coming year.

I’ve been to at least a dozen different Costco locations throughout the US and I’ve never experienced one single bad incident. But this location is something else!I’m not sure where to begin! While waiting to have gas at the Costco gas station, I saw one of the young men they have working there (young darkskin man with a hat) verbally abuse and miss treat several customers. He acted like he was on something! The pharmacy staff member I dealt with was very rude and acted like he was annoyed. It took him over twenty minutes to grab a prescription that was already filled! Store has no hand sanitizers near the meat and fish section. The guy who was packing the cart at checkout just throws the stuff in the cart without any common sense. Everything on top of everything. Milk on top of eggs on top of meat on top of soap on top of fresh salmon on top of fruit.Next time I will be going to a different costco location.

Disappointing Experience with this Costco: A Frustrating Encounter with Their Customer ServiceI purchased a 12-pack of Naked. On one occasion, I discovered that one of the bottles was spoiled upon opening it, as it emitted a sound similar to that of a carbonated beverage. Subsequently, I inspected the remaining bottles in my fridge and identified another spoiled one.On the same day, I decided to return the two spoiled bottles to a this Costco warehouse. Initially, the associate offered to refund only the cost of the two bottles and performed a calculation on the spot, all while wearing an expression that indicated my concern was somewhat unreasonable. I found it unusual that their approach did not align with my expectations. Generally, when a product is spoiled prior to its consumption and not as a result of consumer mishandling, it is customary to receive a full refund, as is often the case with products like milk. However, the associate insisted that a full refund could only be processed if all the remaining bottles were returned, which I found impractical. People do not typically retain items with the expectation of potential spoilage for the purpose of returns. Additionally, she mentioned that I had originally purchased the product at the Union Costco and advised me to seek a refund there.Subsequently, the membership manager, Emily, intervened in the matter. However, she was unable to resolve the issue to my satisfaction. I outlined the situation and agreed to accept a refund for the two spoiled bottles, provided I could return the remaining ones if they too turned out to be spoiled. Nevertheless, Emily reiterated that the customary practice is to return the product to the store of purchase, and different warehouses may have varying policies. She also emphasized that no further refunds would be possible if any of the remaining bottles were found to be spoiled. These two points of contention left me dissatisfied.I view Costco as a unified entity and am perplexed by the consistent emphasis on returning products to their respective points of purchase. I am curious whether there are any key performance indicators (KPIs) influencing this policy. If so, I am interested in understanding whether this policy is primarily driven by customer benefit or by the company's interests.Despite my reservations, I acquiesced to the condition that I could only return spoiled bottles, and they made it clear that if I returned the two spoiled bottles, I would not be allowed to bring back any remaining bottles if they turned out to be spoiled. This approach seemed to prioritize their own convenience over the convenience of the customers.I left the store immediately then I picked up the remaining and went to Costco Union, they gave me the full refund.

It's a great location, and is maintained extremely well. It looks almost as good as the day they opened (except the produce department). They have some work to do on crowd control and easing the traffic in congestion points that they could do well do benchmark seattle or California stores, but all in all its a decent, well-managed facility

Usual Costco expectations on the positive side. ? It's been very helpful when traveling out of town to Bayonne, NJ flying in before checking into the hotel. Knowing I can get good hotdog & drink, clean/decent bathroom and cheap water bottle while picking up a few items I need is really wonderful!

Lady who checks your receipt at the door today was rude and nasty. She should be more appreciative of the fact that people go to Costco to buy things. Whatever people spend at Costco contributes to the salary of the people who work there. Not to give their customers the attitude that they don't care even to the point of being nasty. But those who work at the Costco Gas Station should be recommended for their excellent service to the customers. Hats off to them.

I came here on a weekend and it was super crowded! There were plenty of spaces for parking but it was crowded and they get taken right away. The only way was to park far away, it was no problem and it was understandable. The line to checkout was crazy, so many people! Also bought its infamous $1.50 hotdog + soda as snack before doing grocery shopping to avoid impulsive purchasing The offerings are pretty similar to the other Costco's. Shouldn't expect much variability If you decide to come here, expect to go thru a lot of stress before coming out with your groceries

Today, Rashuan really stood out. He did not miss a beat. He was focused fully and couldn't have done a better job at assisting the cashier moving the line along swiftly. I couldn't believe it was his 1st day. Had to leave a review. I love this Coscto location. Maria is awesome as well. Been here for years. This Costco is a great addition to Bayonne.

This is a very nice Costco location. Crazy enough if you blink your eyes you will think you are in the Teterboro NJ location. This is due to the internal layout being nearly identical other than slight differences at the entrance and exit.Employees were friendly. Not as many customers so the lines were a lot smaller and faster.Items were organized nicely and very clean here.On a side note, I found 2 items here that have the black star on them (items that are discontinued and won't be restocked). These 2 items were already sold out and long gone for over 2 months at the Teterboro and Hackensack locations (Pantene 5 in 1 shampoo & conditioner). The new product replacing it is called Pantene 10 in 1. Same size, same bottle, same pump, same ingredients but a bidenflation increase in price of $4 per bottle or $8 total if you want to get both shampoo and conditioner. So if you are looking for black starred, discontinued Costco items, this Bayonne location might still have a reserve supply in stock.New roast beef sandwich is here at the Bayonne location, but for some dumb reason they pre-mix all the ingredients so there is no way to get a sandwich without onions, garlic, mushrooms or other ingredients. No way to get a plain roast beef sandwich. Other people were complaining of the super high price on this new sandwich at $10 which I totally agree. The rest of the snack bar has affordable items around a dollar or 2. You can get a whole delicious large pizza for the same $10. Well since we can't get a plain roast beef sandwich I won't care if they end up discontinuing this. The parking lot here is vastly superior with mostly friendly shoppers, no fighting for spots, no lunatics trying to grab a parking spot like as if their life depended on it (and willing to attack and shed blood with anyone who dares attempt to take the spot they want).. this may be due to the time and day I visited this location. It might be possible that they also have crazy parking spot road raging lunatics during different days or times?Anyway, the location and position of the Costco Gas station seems to work better here in Bayonne than at Teterboro. In the Teterboro location, on a busy day the line of cars gets so huge that it clogs not only the parking lot but the main artery linking the main road into and out of the parking lot which just becomes a giant mess. In Bayonne, the gas is off to the side from the main lot and didn't seem to affect the people parking and exiting Costco.

Clean, well stocked, ample staff around to assist. Staff were exceptionally helpful and cashiers were quick but conscientious. We were treated like valued customers. There was plenty of room to maneuver around the store even though products were well stocked. I also noticed (and purchased) some products that I had not seen at other Costco stores so it was an interesting shop. The best costco warehouse I have been to thus far.

A review for the staff more than anything. The staff in general is great (generally true of all Costcos) but our car died and the staff pushing the cart and the gas station staff helped jump our cars USING THEIR OWN CAR!! The absolute nicest people work here. Keep up the great hiring, Costco HR. True gems.

Costco's cleanliness is truly impressive and deserves recognition. From the moment I step inside, I am greeted by spotless floors and well-organized shelves, creating an inviting atmosphere. The aisles are always clear of clutter, making it effortless to navigate and find products quickly. Moreover, the immaculate restrooms and tidy dining areas showcase their commitment to maintaining a pristine environment. Costco's dedication to cleanliness is commendable and makes every shopping experience a pleasant one.

They won't take credit cards at the Costco Gas pumps, they don't even take MasterCard, just Visa. You also cannot pay using the app.So I had to either leave and go somewhere else after waiting 15 minutes in line for gas, or bite the bullet and use my bank card. The attendant then required my pin. lol...So, as Costco members, in order to get gas, we are required to give a bank card, and our pin to a total stranger to get gas 40 cents cheaper. Yeah, nice.I don't use my bank card anywhere else. Therefore in the event that it is being used to make purchases down the line I'll know exactly who, where, and how. I already let my bank know ahead of the curve and hopefully an inquiry can be raised about this fairly bizarre custom.Enjoy, Bayonne Costco!
