If I could give 0 stars I would. I understand that this is a busy clinic but every time I have called to try and become a new CLIENT I always seem to get one receptionist with a major attitude:) My grandma brings her dogs here, for over 30 years I should add (not the same dog but different ones) and my mom brings her dog here. I have been very polite and patient with them but every time I ask if they're accepting new pet/owners I get a nasty response and just 2 minutes ago as I was on the phone with them I hear a mocking laugh as they go to hang up on me. Thanks for not taking me or my beautiful puppers because I don't think we deserve to be treated like that!

Dr Andy Wurst is excellent. We brought our 7 month boxer in who swallowed a bottle cap and right away Dr. Wurst was on it! He did an ultrasound on his lunch break because he actually really cared about our dog !!! Thank You Dr. Wurst your exceptional bed side manner and urgency means a-lot!

Dr. Schwert is the best. I even made a song about him."If your pet is hurt,Go and see Dr. Schwert.Regular checkup or sprained knee,Dr. Schwert is the vet to see."He truly is devoted to the proper care and treatment of dogs and cats. Labrador Retrievers are his silent specialty, and he is all around a special vet. I would recommend him hands down.

My diabetic dog went here for 6 years. When originally diagnosed as a diabetic they did not show me how to check blood sugar levels. Just basically said feed 2x a day and give insulin. Fast forward 6 years later, when my dog went into diabetic ketoacidosis, she was misdiagnosed and passed away 2 days later. We rushed her to Jersey Shore Animal Hospital where they were shocked to learn that Barnegat Animal Clinic never showed us or told us to monitor blood sugar ever and that the dog was in severe diabetic ketoacidosis. She was too far gone to recover and passed away that day. Will never bring a pet here ever again.

This Animal Clinic is the best! All the doctors are caring and thoughtful to all the needs of my pets . I have been coming to this Clinic for many years . Dr Behan is so easy to talk to . He takes the time to make sure he understands your pets needs and your questions are answered . As do all the vets in this practice. The girls at the desk are always warm and friendly . I can't say more about this Clinic They truly care about ever pet that cones in .

We have been loyal customers of Barnegat Animal clinic since 1986. In those days Dr. Steve Wurst was the only Vet, and the office was a small 3-exam room building. The care was great, and always professional, it was family and personalization. Fast forward to today, Dr. Steve Wurst passed away and his son Dr. Andy has taken the reins. The building has gotten bigger, there are more excellent Vets on staff, and there are more techs. For all the changes and additions, the care, the expertise, the compassion, and the personalization has never changed, Dr. Andy Wurst and his dedicated staff have seen to that. And that my friends are why Barnegat Animal Clinic has constantly received 4-5 stars for customer service and reliability.

I brought my dog in for his dry skin. Waited about an hour for him to get taken in. He was out less than five minutes later with them telling me he is overwieght with a paper what vegetables he can eat. Basically did not help in any way and insulted my dog for 130$

The staff is amazing and compassionate. I have been taking my animals here since we moved to the area. They are very caring. They know that you have your heart in one hand and your credit card in the other. They do not take advantage of that.

My daughter called Barnegat animal clinic two weeks ago because her dog was throwing up and having massive diarrhea called again on Monday they said give her chicken and rice but if she's not better call on Friday and will get you in, when she calls Friday her dog is not good listless still throwing up still diarrhea we wind up taking a ride to north store in Bricktown thank you north store in Bricktown to find out that the dog is severely sick not only after Barnegat Vet fixed her should they have seen her which they did not she's producing milk in her glands and that can actually cause an infection as well as cancer in the dogs breast she also may have Addison's disease which they're testing for. I would never go there again the worst receptionist in the world her name is Bonnie she never gave Alyssa a chance to even have her dog be seen she just kept rushing her phone calls she's a horrible person change.org get Bonnie out of that office, your office is supposed to be a reflection of your employees the doctors are great Bonnie you need to go you have no compassion for any dogs any animals whatsoever and you always rush people off the phone so you don't have to deal with them Bonnie you should find a new job. I called yesterday to try to find out what was going on to find out that when my daughter was told that there's no appointments sorry it is Fourth of July weekend and my daughter said I guess I should find another Vet and she said oh yeah that would be OK have a nice day and hung the phone up on her. When I questioned her about her statement her answer was what do you want me to do It 4th of July weekend mind you it was 4 pm on Friday n they are open until 8?? I said you told her on Monday to call on Friday if she was still really sick and you would get her in so basically Bonnie you talk out your a** and you just want to rush people off the phone. My six dogs go there and my daughters dog and my mothers dogs so we're pulling them all out of there until Bonnie gets fired she's a horrible mean nasty unsympathetic person who rushes everybody off the phone and doesn't care about anything especially not animals.

Highly recommend this hospital. All the veterinarians are great. I usually see Dr. Fernandez he is the best! The appointments during COVID go very smoothly, I never have to wait long and they are always very nice and organized. The staff is so friendly and especially Bonnie she is so sweet and goes above and beyond to help me out with questions or concerns.

I have been going to this vet for over 5 years and can I tell you they Rock ! There Extremely professional and always willing to accommodating there patients. All the staff members are absolutely awesome and always extremely polite and very knowledgeable. The doctors at Barnegat Animal Clinic are the best in Ocean County!!!! I have been to many vets over the past 17 years living in South Jersey and this Vet is by far the most caring , professional, and always very very accommodating when you are in need.

I have been going to the animal clinic when Dr. Wurst Sr was working. Now we see his son who is amazing. But before we can see him we need to speak the the rude receptionists. They are always miserable, rushing you off the phone and just plain nasty. I don't know why the doctors don't fire them and replace them with happy motivated receptionists.
