AVON BY THE SEA: Cameo Stores is a combination shop of beach goods, souvenirs, clothing, and so much more! Also an adorable girls dress shop for fine events and other clothing for kids. We met Gail, the shop keeper who was so friendly and helpful! She assisted us finding a NJ beach-themed T-shirt. Friendly and leashed dogs are allowed is ice. There is a lot of items squished in, so be careful walking around.

I had one of the Best experiences purchasing our Lovely Communion Dress for our Daughter. I could not have asked for more - they spent a lot of time with me to make sure the dress was fit and it was the best style for my daughter. Also matched up all veil and headpiece. I ordered a communion dress late March because the dress I preserved had a stain that couldn't be removed so had to shop for another dress. I ordered a dress and confirm I've bought dresses designed by Joan Calabrese and confirms dress I want is in stock and will take up to 10-12 days to receive. I'm counting down and dress is now past 12 days. I call and turns out they have no record of my purchase but my account shows purchase was deducted after I spoke to the buyer. I send copy of my receipt. I'm nervous now cause my daughter's communion is first wk of May. So I take the dress with the stain to several cleaners in hope they can remove stain and find one. I finally receive the new dress and tell them I no longer need it since I didn't hear back from and in the interim searched for a cleaners to remove stain and found one. I sent the dress back priority mail and email the buyer with tracking # and tell her dress is on its a way. Website says it takes 7 days to obtain refund. I emailed asking for status of refund and crickets. I follow-up again and crickets. Finally I get a notification from my bank that I have a credit from Cameo Baby. The dress was 238.00 free shipping but was charged 262.00. I email and ask what the extra charge is for? It can't possibly be for shipping new dress when they had no record of purchase and find it and ship asap. I shouldn't be liable for that not my fault they dont keep track of purchases. Still waiting to hear back about the extra $24. Overall a terrible experience. I've bought dresses from Pink Princess in LA. Dress arrives in less than a week and returns were easy and refunds were obtained with no issue. If in the future I need a special occasion dress I will shop from Pink Princess due to excellent customer service.

What a wonderful experience shopping for my granddaughters first communion dress! The dress selection was beautiful and reasonably priced. My granddaughter felt like a princess trying on the dresses along with the veils. No aggressive sales pitch here. Highly recommend Cameo Stores in Avon!! Thank you Sherry!

Bought a life jacket paying $38 (nearly Double vs Walmart) and it was bigger for my son. 2 hours later the owner wouldn't exchange for smaller size. Should have never bought from small local businesses, never had such an issue in Walmart. Wish Walmart wasn't sold out. Will never visit this place again

We received our communion dress today and we could not be happier . When we placed our order the store contacted us right away to let us know size should be checked. They took the time to do a dress fitting via phone - and Thank Goodness they did.. The size we ordered would have been huge.

I ordered communion dress online (showed to be in stock) and received email from Ronna stating it's out of stock and dress runs rather large. She asked to call her to get correct measurements. I called and measured my daughter, a looks like the dresses are more than 2 sizes larger. She also mentioned that the dress has been out of stock over a month. Asked if I was interested in another dress, that was also out of stock. She recommended two other dresses but they were out of my price range. I told her I would need to think about it. The next day I emailed her to go ahead and refund the money for the dress. I wanted to look locally instead. It's been a week now, I haven't heard from her and have not received a refund. Do not waste your money. I'm sure they leave dresses showing "in stock" when they actually are not so you stuck trying to find something else you don't want to buy from the shop.

Ordered a small baby carriage from the store for our daughter's baby shower in April that should have come with a doll. The store was not able to supply the doll, but sent the carriage and charged full price for the doll and carriage. We have called them several times and their response is that they will contact the bookkeeper regarding a refund for the doll, but the bookkeeper never gets around to sending the refund. This is incredibly poor customer service and we will be following up with further action in the near future.

One star because no stars wasn't an option. Absolutely ZERO Customer Service! Ordered a baby crib with express shipping for my daughters birthday...no crib, no call, NOTHING! After 3 calls and 2 voice mails someone picked up the phone and told me the item was on back order and they would call the company to see when it would be shipped and would get back to me. That of course didn't happen. I called again and again they told me the same thing and yet again, no call back. I called to cancel the order and was told that an email would be better so they could let me know it was cancelled. You guessed it, it didn't happen. I called my credit card company to insure any attempt to charge the item would not be processed. I wouldn't use this company for anything that you want to purchase. btw, after attempting to support this small business I ordered the same crib, $20.00 cheaper, from Toys R Us and it was delivered in 3 days.

I bought a flower girl dress for my upcoming wedding and I am totally pleased with my purchase. The overall experience working with the company was the best. My customer service rep Ronna was so helpful and was always very timely in getting back to me with all my questions and concerns. I would highly recommend Cameo Baby to anyone!!!
