7800 Dollars in Add Ons? Don't let the reviews fool you like they fooled us. Read those contracts.
We came in with such high hopes for our car buying experience. We found a gorgeous at One-Owner Mazda6 for an excellent price, and got in contact with an excellent sales rep who helped make sure the car would be ready for us, since we'd be coming from out of state to purchase. The staff was very friendly and courteous... but we quickly realized the finance department had every intention of ripping us off.
The additional add ons they tacked on and described as "non-cancelable" is ridiculous! They even tried to charge us for a center console repair, and it took multiple trips behind those glass doors for them to even take that off!.
Even still, they slipped an interior protection package, an oil change package, a vehicle tracker and a bunch of unnecessary extras onto our bill, totaling nearly $7800 dollars. Thankfully, I knew we could go in and cancel most of it, but the idea that they seemed to be counting on us to be incompetent as younger buyers is terrifying, especially as other reviews indicate how fair and honest their experience was with this dealer. To be flatly told we "can't" take things off the deal when the clauses in the contracts state we can is hugely alarming... but wait, there's more.
It took 8 days of reaching out for us to receive our documents for the car! We were told the papers would be overnighted when we purchased the car, on a Monday afternoon, and by Saturday we'd received nothing. We left the dealer with nothing more than a bill of sale for the cash down payment, and the registration. I then went back and forth with finance for multiple days trying to get copies for everything we've signed, which we did not finally resolve till the following Tuesday, since the first round of documents we were sent did not include any of the oh-so-important extras.
As of today, we still have no idea what this tracker is on the car (a $1270 "Add on", mind you), as we were told there was no paperwork associated with the purchase. We were able to cancel all of the other junk, which makes the deal much more alright as the car itself is super nice for the year... but save yourself the headache and go somewhere else... unless maybe you fit the demographic of people they won't try to rip off just to get you to take out a bigger loan.

I called this dealership to discuss potential options for my third lease with Mazda and despite being clear about what I was looking for, the person I spoke with kept cutting me off and not listening to what I was looking for. He kept insisting I come in to see the car and try it for myself. I get that he's more knowledgeable about cars than me, but he could have treated me like a human and not like someone who had no idea what they wanted. Maybe it's because I am a woman, or maybe it's because the guy is awful, but I'll never go here nor could I advise anyone to go here.
