I am a resident in Avalon. My wife Bought a defective beach wagon (179.99 and grossly overmarked in my opinion) that wouldn't properly roll on the sand when you have items in it. I tried to return it the next day and buy something else and despite there only being signs that tools or beach chairs are not returnable, I was rudely and condiscendingly told by an employee that it was 2+2 and that beach chairs meant beach accessories as well and to go shop at the Ace Hardware on 96th street. I never thought a business in Avalon would be classless or foolish enough to go tell their own residents to shop at a competitor in another town, especially in this challenged economic environment. i suggest going to the 96th street ace or the true hardware in sea isle. Friendly service, fair prices, and just a short trip from this place.

A staple of the island, no question about it. Classic hardwood flooring, tin ceilings, a great selection of products, helpful staff and even a popcorn machine. I almost enjoy when something breaks as it gives me a excuse to visit.

Always have need for a local hardware store when away from the office and working with a client. Avalon hardware did not fail to produce. Needed a special type of glue for a little fix and they had exactly what I was looking for. Neat organized friendly courteous all about describe this environment. Definitely put them on your list for some of those hard to get items and just every day hardware items.

Convenient place when your in Avalon. They are quick too help you locate a product. The store was a little hard too find due too some low trees out front but its at 21st and Dune on the ocean side. The store is bigger then you think when you walk in. They had the starting fluid i needed! Thanks !!

Properly overpriced and too small. They main stock household items, grills, dog stuff. If you need anything hardware related go to the Stone Harbor ACE
