Just had to shout out My Guy, Nelson's Auto Repair on First Ave in Atlantic Highlands. He’s the best. Customer service through the roof. Honest and knowledgeable. Beyond thorough when it comes to taking care of your vehicle. There’s no one I trust more with my wheels.

Top notch and highly recommended - great knowledge and quality plus super clear communications on status of inspections, repairs and repair recommendations. Very fair, reasonable and transparent on cost.

Had a great experience at this shop. From scheduling to payment everything was smooth and clear. Took my car in for service and Nelson went above and beyond at looking all over my car to make sure everything was in tip top shape. Customer service was top notch and I would most certainly recommend him to anyone.

The check engine light was on in my car and I was pretty sure I knew what it was because it came on last fall and I had it checked out by a transmission repair place. My regular mechanic has been overwhelmed with work so I couldn’t get in with him so I went to My Guy, Nelson’s Auto Repair, because I get gas there occasionally. Nelson was very friendly, very helpful. He told me what the problem was by checking the computer. My car is 25 years old, but it has very low miles on it and I need to keep it going but can’t afford a major repair right now. He reassured me that it was not a major issue but to be aware of it. I was relieved that he wasn’t trying to push me into anything or take advantage of me. He was great! I will be going back there for my repairs.

I drive an hour to have him work on my car because i know he won't upsell me unnecessary things and will be honest about what has to be done.

Took our Volvo to Nelson for brakes and possibly rotors. He had the car back to us the next day and was completely honest about the condition of our brakes/rotors. we live in point pleasant but will absolutely be heading up to Nelson for all future work on our vehicles.

Nelson is a trustworthy top notch professional with a strong moral compass and sense of fairness which he applies to his business. He is also very efficient and provides great customer care . I could not recommend him more highly!

I did not end up doing business with him, but setting up an appointment he was very nice and very forthcoming about what he would need to do, parts he would need to purchase, price, etc. Can tell he's an honest mechanic. Will definitely come back in the future!

all around great experience, professional, helpful and authentic. Got me in right away , and broke down the bill for me and let me know what needed to be done , and what I should do next. Nelson is hands down the best mechanic I’ve ever had. I was recommended to him by another shop in town and was blown away by how knowledgeable, informative, and kind he is. Definitely goes above and beyond for his customers. Very easy to talk to and treats you like family. He was immediately able to fix an issue I had with my Lexus GX and got her running smoothly and at a very fair price. Walking away and not feeling like I got ripped off was worth every penny. I rarely write reviews but trust me on this - if you have an issue with your car, go see this man. You won’t regret it. Thanks Nelson!! You have a life long customer! Keep up the great work!!
