This was a pretty far walk to the room. It is in part of the casino that requires quite a bit to get to places.

Terrible rooms. The door does not lock safely. The walls are very thin and you hear everything from the hallway and elevators. The room was very dirty - debris and old socks on the floor, the bed I made with mismatched pillows and a missing pillow case. The fridge was unusable with no shelves and exploding sodas cans from the previous guests. Dust and dirt on every single corner of the room. The bathroom amenities were dirty and obviously used before. Staining and red liquid on the tables - wine or blood who knows. The AC did not work at all - the room was stuck at 75 and the buttons didn't work. The down button on my floors elevator was broken and unusable. I paid a last-minute rate of $150 with taxes. Expected way better from Tropicana. Ended up checking out the same night and going home - unsanitary.

If you're looking for beach accessibility then this is the place. Literally steps from the beach. Trust that you get what you pay for and nothing more. Our room had the tiniest of pillows and zero comforter! It's older.. the renovation didn't happen to any of the rooms. Very outdated carpets n wallpaper.
It was easy to maneuver to the mall area for eats n drinks.

Came for a Bachelorette party weekend
Too far from everything, it was a hike to get to wherever. You pay the same amount as everyone and get less very dingy as compared to other towers and paid the same, not worth the money no I will not stay there again, only the pool was great ?

The Chelsea tower at Tropicana is a great alternative to the 4 towers within Tropicana. It's as close if not closer to the beach and boardwalk than the Havana & West towers and have nicer rooms. It is attached to Trop by the Skybridge on the 5th floor via elevator in the Trops South tower (buttons in elevator are labeled) or by 2 escalator rides from the casino floor. It is much quieter and they have an outdoor pool/bar right by the Skybridge. Gilchrist Restaurant is in the lobby of the Chelsea, less expensive, good place for breakfast. Can't say anything other than average on service as I did everything via kiosk or phone app.
Rooms: Rooms were clean with a fridge, chair/ottoman and a safe. King bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean with a walk-in shower.

Adults-only pool on the 5th floor has a free bar and sunbathing
Nearby activities: The location is privileged 100 feet from the beach
Walkability: The walker a few steps away with a great variety of shops and casinos
Food and drinks: You find almost for all tastes

The best beach on the boardwalk. Easy access to go back and forth to your room. It is the southern most hotel. If you're a beach goer in the summer, it's the best choice. The beach is larger than the others and it is unobstructed. Best to stay more central or north during colder weather.

It's a beautiful tower but a little too far for us old codgers.
Nearby activities: They have a pool but that doesn't interest me
Walkability: Very far from casino but less low life's out there.

Great trip. Confusing check- in . No directions. Enjoyed the stay .
Nearby activities: Everything we needed was inside or on the boardwalk.

I just visited this past weekend and will NEVER ever recommend this hotel to anyone. This building needs to be shut down and completely renovated. We had no idea this is what we were getting when we booked the Tropicana. I wish I could attach my photos. The place smells like mold. It's old. The outside doesn't even have signage any more. The bed/box spring did not have a bedskirt, only a mattress cover. Stained and holes that were taped in drapes, and the AC unit cover was damaged. No comforter, only a blanket in between 2 sheets. Loud fan in the bathroom. The hallway to the Chelsey building from Tropicana smells horrible, and was very dirty. The icing on the cake, a 2am fire alarm to evacuate the building, using the stairs. Absolutely NO staff/security to provide any type of assistance, guidance, let us know what was happening and if it was safe to re-enter the building. This building is like being in the "hood".
Next day attempt to speak to management, not one manager to speak to. We were assisted by a desk agent and moved after complaining. With an additional charge. It was a NIGHTMARE!!!!!
