Would give 0 stars if possible. If you want an incompetent shop, this is your go to. It'll take them weeks to get back to you for even a minor repair if you don't go through insurance. They do not call you back if you request it for any questions they aren't able to answer, and they will say they'll call you back but never do. Would never go back to this shop again.

I recently had a terrible experience with Denville Bear and feel compelled to share my dissatisfaction. The lack of good customer service and the inexcusable delay in repairing my car were extremely frustrating and disappointing.The customer service was abysmal. The staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful throughout the entire process. When I initially brought my car in for repairs, they barely acknowledged me. They said they will call with updates, yet I never got a call from them. I was the one that had to reach out to them numerous times. Whenever I tried to inquire about the status of my vehicle, I was met with indifference and short responses.It ended up taking a staggering 30 days to get my vehicle back. Coincidently, the exact time I had with the rental that was provided by my insurance. This mechanic worked with my insurance and with the car rental. I am not a believer in coincidence, so this didn’t feel right.I have to say, there was one individual, Johnny/John who was the last person I dealt with when picking up my car. He was the only one that was kind and didn't seem bothered to help.

On Christmas Eve 2022, a deer ran into the front passenger's side of my 2010 Mercury Milan. The damage wasn't pretty, but mechanically the car is still 100% sound, and I had no reason to expect any issues.The first red flag was the manager telling me he could not find the parts to do the necessary repairs. I found ALL of the parts readily available for less than $2500. After dropping off the car for an estimate, I went back to pick up the car so I could keep driving it while I wrangled with the insurance company. Although no repairs had been authorized, my damaged but operational headlight and turn signal assembly were torn out of my vehicle. I had to wretle with it for a couple of hours to get it back in place the best I could and somewhat protected from the elements.While I was picking up the car, I let the manager know I'd most likely be back to have the car repaired soon. To my astonishment and utter dismay, he told me he declines to take the work. He refused to perform a fairly simple, routine, common and straightforward bodywork repair.From what I can ascertain, since I'm no longer a Geico customer, Denville Bear & Body thinks it's now okay to treat melike garbage and refuse to repair my car.No problem.The business they could have had is on its way to Newton Auto Body.No future auto body work I require will be performed by Denville Bear & Body.Ever.Thanks for wasting my time.

If you have any damage to your vehicle just do yourself a favor and go to a different shop. (Poor workmanship, very slow)

The job they did was pretty good. Paint matches, car looks good.2 Issues with the actual job1. Acrid paint smell inside the vehicle.2. Rubber stopper found in cup holder that looks like it belong to something and unsure what.The issues are time table with the major issue being customer service / communication:Predicted time for the repairs was 13 days. 11/13/20 to 11/25/20. The website and text alerts said my car was on track for repairs during this initial 13 days.Before I left to pick up my car on 11/25 I called the shop just to make sure because I had heard nothing. They told me that my car wasn't finished, and that it would either be done Friday or Monday. He said he would give me a call on Friday to update me. He never did.The website updated to say my new pickup date was Monday 11/30/20. So on Monday after hearing nothing I called in the afternoon around 1pm and I was told my car wasn't finished and that they gave me some excuse about needing special parts that only just arrived. I pressed for a time frame, but all I got is a "We will call you." (They didn't).On Wednesday I called and asked again about my vehicle. They told me either Thursday or Friday it would be complete. Thursday goes by with no contact. On Friday I called in the afternoon around 1pm and I was told my car would be ready for pick up that day.For those keeping score that is 4 missed pick up times and ZERO calls from Denville Bear and Body in Andover. They did not call me a single time through the whole experience. I understand that Holidays got in the way and stuff happens, but the absolute lack of communication is inexcusable. The work they did was good. But because the customer service insisted on keeping me in the dark for the entire process and their website / text updates seemed to be a system with no real data to back it up, so the "updates" are automated and meaningless.I do not typically like writing negative reviews, this maybe the first one I've ever written. I typically just move on and don't look back, but maybe you'll read this and realize that this very poor handling of customer service is both easy to fix and the sole thing that has ensured that the next time I need body work, I'll roll the dice with another shop.
