Used to be amazing, but now they charge $2.50 per hour for parking and the bathrooms are never open. Why charge for parking for a hiking trail?

Make sure to bring insect repellent. It was incredibly buggy. I believe I saw a few fleas on my dog while we were there so definitely check your dogs before getting them in the car.

Good place to swing by on a sunny day.
It was crowded due to the long weekend and the parking line up was till the entrance of the park, however, it was a good short trip to unwind.
Pet friendly - just remember to put on your sunscreen.
First hour of the Parking is usually (mostly) free.

Great lookout with a wide view of Hudson and NYC side.
A 1 mile easy walk on a concrete road and a bunch of trails starting at the top and lower on the road.

This lookout is the nicest of all 3,even though it comes with a parking cost, it’s well worth it.
Parking was only 0.35 cents per hour on the mobile app

This park is a gem for anyone looking to take in the breathtaking views of the Hudson River skyline. There are several overlooks, each offering its unique perspective on the stunning scenery. It's an ideal spot for a calm and peaceful picnic, with several picnic areas to choose from. One thing to note is that there aren’t many benches, so you might want to bring your own seating. Parking is plentiful, which makes it convenient, especially on a Sunday afternoon. There is a café on-site, but unfortunately, it was closed during our visit. It’s unclear when it’s open, which was a bit disappointing. However, the beauty of the place more than makes up for it. All in all, a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy nature.

** HARD HIKE **
this is not an easy or moderate hike. it is definitely hard and it’s long and there’s basically no turning back once you get on the rocks. ? they are huge rocks along the water that you have to move through. hike also includes huge, steep stairs both going up and down the mountain.
it took us ~4 hours to do part of the trail. make sure you take bug spray and A LOTTT of water. you’re gonna need it. river water is dirty looking so i don’t think you’ll wanna go in.
overall, it wasn’t a bad hike except the rocks are a lot. maybe i would return once im more progressed.

The view at 500 feet elevation overlooking the Hudson is great! Summer staff are friendly and knowledgeable! Indoor bathrooms available during open hours and port-a-potties there if you have an urgent need. The old fashioned overlook binoculars still work and still cost 25 cents. Bring quarters! Miles of walking trails. Parking fee is minimal-reasonable—and you use the pay-by-plate kiosk.
