We just moved to the area and a quick search revealed Windy Hill. Since this was the first time for my dog, I was a bit hesitant, especially because my dog is a German Shepherd and not all boarding centers like the breed.I have to say I was pleasantly impressed by looking at the premises and speaking with the owners. They have all sized dogs and every dog coming out looked very happy. They have experience with German shepherds and also have arrangements to purchase additional playtime for your pet. They also have grooming facilities available so I was able to board my dog for the weekend and use their grooming service to pick him up. All showered up and his nails trimmed. The prices are reasonable and the staff is extremely friendly and everybody there seemed very happy and knowledgeable. Most kennels take only cash, it's the same here as well. However, they do accept Zelle as a payment which made it super convenient for me since I don't like to carry cash with me.I would definitely recommend Windy Hill kennels to anyone looking to board their dog.

They were very accommodating. I booked room for my cats on a Friday night for drop off Saturday morning and they took me in without question. I wouldn't recommend that, but they very nice about it.

I just wanted to say that Windy Hill was so kind to us in a time that was so devastating to us. We had to put our dog Lucky there last week because my mom was very ill and we didn’t have choice but to board him. My mom ended up passing away last Friday and Windy Hill called us and told us that Lucky wasn’t well and we needed to pick him up and I told them the situation and they told us to get there when we can. We got there and they carried Lucky out to my husband and wouldn’t take our money to pay for his stay. Lucky passed away that day. The compassion that Windy Hill showed us was so exceptional and we appreciate how empathetic they were. It will never be forgotten. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We need a place to leave our 55lb baby, Shorty. We were scrambling as the kennel she was suppose to go to cancelled due to overbooking. I was so nervous but immediately shorty went right in and was so happy when we picked her up. I can’t say enough great things about windy Hill kennels thank you

We have boarded our pets here for a few years now, and I’ve been very happy with the service and attention to care they are given. Our dogs always comes home happy, and we always leave happy after paying a fair and reasonable price. This is not the puppy Ritz Carlton, but that’s OK.

Highly recommend!! We were so nervous to board our dog for the first time. But when we picked him up we could tell he was taken care of. He was so excited and was so happy! He smelled amazing and looked so clean after being groomed. I will be recommending windy hill to everyone of my family and friends. And we will be using again if we ever need to board him. The place is clean and well kept you walk in and it smells good. You can tell they love what they do and truly care about others pets as their own.

I have not used then yet but in case of a family emergency this week they seem very very good to take my dog to he's a rottweiler 6yrs old had not ever been left alone over night but what they provide with no contact just verbal communication I highly recommend then Ave I hope they take my baby in an emergency basis.

We’ve used them twice and each time we left knowing our dogs are in good hands. They love our dogs like their own and it’s so comforting to know they live on property too. You won’t regret boarding your dogs here.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. They have been my kennel of choice for many years now. I love that they are family owned. They are also not afraid of my German Sheppard even though she is a bit crazy.

This was our first time boarding our 1 year old cats and I was pretty worried about it. Our cats can be little monsters that like to chew on wires so leaving them with someone without a cat-proof home was not going to work out great for anyone involved. All the people that we know that would want to take our cats already have their own, and I hear cats can get aggressive with stranger cats and we didn't want to risk that while we were away on our honeymoon. One of our cats also seems to have a bit of separation anxiety so I didn't really want to leave them in the house for the week without proper socialization and we don't know anyone that lives close enough to us to feel comfortable asking them to come every day. Windy Hill Kennels had the best pricing out of all the nearby cat kennels and they also had good reviews so we decided to give them a shot for our own peace of mind. The staff at Windy Hill Kennels were all very nice. As others have said it is a family business and you can tell they care about the pets they are caring for. When I dropped them off they asked about what they should expect from our cats and any special instructions we had. I brought a big box of wet food for my cats to eat while they were there but they will also provide dry food at no extra cost. The cats are kept in a concrete building separate from the dog kennels, you can hear dogs barking outside but it seemed quiet inside from what I remember. When we picked up the cats they said they were nervous for the first day and wouldn't eat but adjusted nicely after that and were vocal about their feeding times (sounds about right)! The cat kennels have doors in them so if you have multiple cats in the same household they can stay together and open the doors up. The only bad thing I noticed was that I had packed a few of my cats' favorite toys with them in a pocket of their carrier under their treats and unfortunately I don't think the toys ever made it into the kennel with them. If we ever need to board our cats again I will make those more obvious! They also let the cats out to stretch their legs once per day while they clean the kennel and said our cats really enjoyed their time out exploring. At home we realized the cats also had a nice smell to them and their coats were so much softer than normal. I hadn't thought our cats were dirty but when we got them back the difference was very noticeable! Not sure if they gave them a bath or what but we enjoyed the cleanliness. The cats were kind of shy returning to our house and were extra loving to us for a couple days before fully returning to their normal selves. Overall we would definitely recommend Windy Hill Kennels if you need somewhere trustworthy to watch your cats.
