USPS needs to clean house at this location, employees are super unprofessional. Also this place is so rundown; computers apparently crash, scanners don't work and the printers don't connect. Have customers waiting 40+ mins to send out packages and after all that waiting, package still can't be sent out? Please UPDATE and UPGRADE!!!!

All of these PASSPORT reviews are spot on. Postmaster is RUDE, unaccommodating, and quick to turn you away for any miniscule reason. She looked at her watch about 5 times during my (parent) appt. Turned my child away over a few mins we were waiting on my wife to arrive. Passport for Dad, but no daughter! Unbelievable to say the least. What world are we living in? Amazing how people are permitted to work and treat people like pieces of garbage, and keep their jobs...as a Postmaster nonetheless. Makes sense why the USPS is under water and in massive debt.

I have a very high concern of quality at this place, tried to get my passport expedited and was offered no information and was told I was wrong when I pointed out something on THEIR website, as if I am making up something I saw on there. Processes and correct procedures are out the window at this place, plain simple go elsewhere.

I live in the next town over and decided to drop my packages here instead. They made a big deal that the ship from zip code was the next town over and if I didn't change it, they wouldn't get credit for scanning my packages. That's not my problem! I have no way of changing my ship from zip code. The rate I paid is correct and that should be enough for them. They seem to only want to deal with customers who live in their zip code and don't want to do their job. HORRIBLE.

The allendale post office staff is beyond the most helpful and kind group of people I've ever met. I will always choose to come here out of any other post office in Bergen County. Joe assisted us with a passport renewal and so friendly and helpful with whatever questions we had. Compared to many other local post offices you genuinely don't get this type of experience. Any trip here whether it's for passport services or simply to mail a package is worth the extra miles.

if I could give it zero stars I would. i will never go there again and I live 5 min from there. I went there to drop off a prepaid box. I normally leave it for my mailman in my mailbox. I've also brought it to that post office numerous times and put it on the counter for drop off. No receipt is needed,no forms need to be signed, just drop off and leave. I've done it NUMEROUS times. The other day I went to drop off the package. Two postal workers were there. The one to the right was filling out a passport for a couple. The one to my left was helping a gentleman. I went to the middle lane, put my package on the counter, as I always do (and have been instructed to do ) and kindly said this is just a drop off and before I could finish my sentence, Melani, the postal worker to the left, shouted at me "get your package off of the counter now!" needless to say she didn't only startle me. I was shocked and took my package off the counter, stepped in line and tried to calmly, nicely tell her it was just a drop off. She once again cut me off. as I approached the counter, when it was my turn, she shouted out, "next, the woman who thinks her package is more important than everyone elses!" this whole time, the postal worker that always helps me, was cowardly hiding in the corner, not wanting eye contact, not wanting to get involved. horrible! I told her she was very rude and I was shocked at her actions. I asked for her name and for a manager. She told me she'd gladly give me her name, even spelled her last name for me, and said there was no manager there. No one deserves to be treated like that. I will never go to the post office again.

Had an appointment for passports. Made it in advance but not on the list. Showed conf # and the lady refused saying we had to be on the list. She was highly unprofessional and inept at her job. All the time we sat waiting she could have finished the paperwork. She sent us to a different PO. She said we are at an impasse and at the end looked at me and said your welcome. She shouldn’t be working there if she can’t properly give customer service. Never seen somebody so bad at their job.

Terrible customer service. Dismissive and rude. We could not get a passport because he went off to lunch and stopped halfway thru the process.

They lady in charge has an attitude, the lack of customer service is crazy. Tried it 2 times and had the same results. Never again.
