ACME Markets is a grocery store located at 45 De Mercurio Dr in Allendale, NJ. It is described as a good, clean, and well-organized store with a friendly staff that creates a nice, small community feel. The store offers a wide selection of just about anything you might need, including a liquor/beer store and a little Starbucks inside. It features several departments: a pharmacy for immunizations and prescriptions, a bakery with custom cakes and cupcakes, a deli with party trays and Order Ahead service, and a butcher block with meat, seafood, and sushi. The store tries to stay ahead by offering lots of specials and merchandise bundles for better pricing. While generally positive, a note mentions an issue with expired food that was promptly refunded. Good selections and displays. Carts worked well, but I live in a state where grocery stores give you free plastic bags OR sell you a paper bag for $.10 OR you bring your own.
