We had our wedding reception at the Inn on Main. As a Wolfeboro native, I sometimes forget how spectacular some of the venues are in my own town. Our wedding reception was perfect. Our cocktail hour was under the tent with the delicious lobster sliders, maple chicken salad phyllo cups and the charcuterie board. The wicker chairs, outdoor bar, and excellent service were impressive as well. Inside the barn, we served a dinner of a farm fresh salad, NY strip steak, and miso glazed salmon. A vegetarian entree was provided as well. Our guests raved about the food, with someone even comparing the steak to a North End, Boston restaurant! The venue was gorgeous, complete with chandeliers, tulle draped from the beams, a good-sized dance floor, and stone-faced bar. The Inn's wedding event coordinator, Cori, was amazing. She communicated promptly and clearly and worked to make our day as special as it was. Sarah, the Inn manager, was incredibly supportive, too. She even left us flowers and chocolates in our suite on the morning before our wedding. Getting married at the Inn on Main was a fairytale. We would recommend it to anyone.

Nearby activities: Our out of town guests always stay at the Inn on Main Street. It is very convenient to down town Wolfeboro and to our place. From what they tell us the rooms are great, comfortable, and clean.

We stayed for a wedding, and while the rooms were cute at first glance, ours definitely needed some love. There were lots of minor dings and bumps. The "front door" had 2 windows at street level, which was unusual and slightly inconvenient since we could only change in the bathroom. It could use a curtain! We had a very large picture window, which was great until we realized only the center portion had a shade, which let a lot of light in the room. I'm very sensitive to light, and it made for a poor nights sleep. In addition, we were awoken by a lively work crew at 8am with a chainsaw taking down a tree stump. The restaurant was closed, so we didn't get to experience that. Overall, it was fine, but being aware that the main reason we were here was to sleep, I'm not sure we would come back. That being said, the place was absolutely immaculately cleaned. I stay in hotels a lot for work, and even Marriott doesn't touch this! (Even the bathroom fans were dust free ?).
Walkability: We walked downtown for food. If you are somewhat fit and adventurous, you won't have issues. It's about 10 minutes. Probably not an option if you have any mobility issues or small children.

We stayed at the Inn on Main 2 weeks ago. It was a great place to stay! Clean, quiet, comfortable beds and little details like drinking water and basic breakfast items made it an enjoyable stay. It is reasonable also. We also attended a reception onsite and had dinner there. Even though they were full, the service was great and the food was delicious! My only issue with the room was the lack of lighting in the sleeping/sitting area. I highly recommend the Inn on Main!

Amazing hidden gem location. A great place to eat as well (high end). Rooms comfortable, HVAC little noisy. Relaxing place for sure. Close to many nice locations.

This is a quaint bed and breakfast, tastefully renovated. There was no one there when I checked in, but I had been emailed instructions as to where the key was located. The restaurant was not open the day I arrived either, which was disappointing, but it was off season.Overall, very pleased with the location, comfort of beds and cleanliness.Would stay again.

A few days prior to arriving we got a phone call confirming our stay, and arrival time. We were arriving sorta late, so we were given instructions on getting the key to our room. That in itself was impressive. Our room was on the second floor, and we had a view of the mountains. The room was comfortable, and I’m pretty sure I’ve not sleep better in quite a long time. (I think it has to do with just how quiet it is in Wolfeboro; it’s winter so that has probably something to do with it.)We were given an actual (physical) key to our room… haven’t experienced that in quite sometime. This is a no frills place that is quaint, quiet, and very affordable. We really enjoyed our stay and if we’re ever back, we’ll stay here again.

A nice inn with very clean rooms. We had a wonderful patio with chairs to sit out back. Our kids played in the grass while we had coffee in the morning. The building has some character so expect to hear footsteps on the upper balcony as people head to their rooms but the little bit of noise is well worth it in exchange for this charm of this country inn. We will definitely stay here again. We didn’t get time to try the bistro but it looked very nice.

So I must say the absolute biggest complaint was the fact it is extremely hard to call and speak to someone, even after listening to the message on the phone telling you if this is an emergency press a number to speak to someone and you still don't get a live person.#2 the rooms are ok the area rug on the floor is extremely dirty and worn out like you either need socks or slippers unless you don't care#3 ceiling in bathroom the paint is peeling #4 I feel the room also needs privacy curtains not sheer # 5 I understand the place is old but when you are trying to sleep and you here people going up and down the stairs or walking around the next room or upstairs above you it's annoying # 6 also when you want to walk around on the property it would be nice not to have watch out for big animal droppings. The barn is beautiful
