I can't comment on the rooms, but we stumbled upon this gem a year or so ago while meandering through the area. (My sister lives a few towns over so it's not so very far out of our pattern...)
The people are nice. The food is good. The prices are fair. We have returned at least twice. We don't go back to places we don't like. We REALLY like this place. It's on our rotation of "Let's drive 90 minutes for dinner" places.
Food & drinks: Great food. I no longer drink, but my wife has enjoyed a cocktail or two.

By far the best stay we have ever had on the road working. we had a Job down in Orange Ma, and all I could find within a 10 mile radius looked like something out of trailer park boys. I expanded my search and found this gem right over the boarder. Could not have asked for a better experience these folks are great, rooms are comfortable and clean. food is fresh and well made, and the price is very reasonable.
Rooms: rooms are very clean, well kept, comfortable and so much nicer than a motel.
Food & drinks: drinks are very well made, not boozy, but not watered down. food is flavorful and well prepared.

We held a wedding rehearsal dinner on their patio. Setting was lovely. Staff was great - friendly, helpful, good service. Jordan helped us plan the dinner. Food was great!

Lovely rooms, comfortable. Tavern has great faire. Try the roasted Brussels sprouts with chicken! Save room for the cookie skillet dessert. ⁷Rooms: Great weekend stop

Our second stay and totally enjoyable. We returned to “the Jane” and loved it. (The mattress, while comfortable, is starting to show a lack of side support and likely will need attention at some point but that didn’t diminish our enjoyment of this Inn or our stay.Family run business and well run too!!

This is a charming old-fashioned New England Inn that I would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area. The rooms were very pleasant and comfortable to stay in while also being pretty reasonably priced. A hot breakfast cooked to order is included in the room rate that far exceeds the typical continental breakfast you find in most hotels. The quality of the breakfast is equivalent to what you would expect in any nice breakfast restaurant so I feel it really adds to the value of the price you are paying in the room. We ate dinner in the tavern the night we stayed and the food and service were excellent. The only complaint was that the food took a long time to come out of the kitchen because they were very busy that night. Overall we were very happy with our stay and we wouldn't hesitate to book a room here again if we are ever in the area.

We went today, not the first time, to meet our friend for drinks and food. We like to sit at the bar. Jen was tending bar. The service was exceptional and she is friendly and very entertaining. The lobster roll and prime rib sandwich were to die for! Can't wait to return.
