This is a REAL antique shop, not a place that has only a few antiques and lots of junk. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and when asked questions give honest responses. We have bought probably 30 pieces, mainly furniture 200-300 years old, here since the store opened. We visit about once a week and although we are running out of space in our home, it is always a wonderful experience to visit with the staff and see all of the wonderful items. We can't recommend it enough for those interested in genuine and quality antiques.

I attended one of Flying Pig Antiques' online auctions earlier this year which was a great experience (i.e., auction rate was not too fast, many quality items, easy payment options) & then my lots needed shipping. They kindly offered to take my lots to the UPS store in E. Longmeadow, MA where they know the owner well (FYI: Larry at UPS is awesome!). The drop off saved me a good deal of money. And, Marlo, Roxanne & others at Flying Pig Antiques were incredibly kind & helpful in so many other ways. They are always so polite, eager to answer any questions, & they went above & beyond to help me figure out the best shipping option. This business truly cares about their customers & their services absolutely prove it.

Visited the Flying Pig after finding one of their postcard-type flyers in another antique shop. Didn't know what to expect, but since were in the area decided to give it a try. Disappointed! They had some interesting items, but not really competitive with other shops like we found in Antique Alley (New Hampshire) or on Route 101 (New Hampshire). Moreover, the goods were seriously overpriced. We have found many better deals and equal or better quality at many of the shops mentioned previously. Being antique dealers we certainly know how to pick. Will return to Route 1 (Maine) and elsewhere for what we need.

Pricey... lot of nice looking primitives, nothing was priced at a point where i could justify it except for the bigger pieces that i would need to build my house around. Walked around the store twice but no one was there when i did, a number of things not priced which i wasn't thrilled about and the items that i liked the most weren't even available for sale they were part of an up coming auction.

I have stopped at Flying Pig many times, and will continue to do so. I love the owner, he's a towering man with towering knowledge. The quality in the early and primitive American Antiques is very high level, with many dealers to chose from, (It's a group shop). It might be the best Early American shop in New England. As a life long collector, I'm always happy there. You will be too. It's worth the visit. If you are passing within a hundred miles, you should go out of your way to stop at Flying Pig Antiques.
