Product prices change, and promotions come and go but poor customer service is simply not tolerable in small towns. With an assistant manager with offensive communication skills and little motivation to help customers utilize DG tools for savings, I recommend shopping elsewhere. Without adhering to their own marketing, the store is a sad addition to a community while it endangers struggling locally owned shops.

Being new to Troy. I am using Word of mouth to help me explore. I've been to The Dollar General 3 times now. I've yet to explore entire store. I am always in the store longer than planned as the deals are amazing & always changing. The employees are so friendly. Every visit results in a lot of laughs. I speak w/customers as well. This is my 1st experience shopping here. I can't get enough!! I always feel like the employees are friends that are out shopping w/me. They sell everything, I mean everything! Even beer! Paper shades that you trim to window size for $5. I love this deal as my cats destroy blinds if I forget to open. I had been being attacked daily by my shower curtain, turn a corner & bam! There's my curved shower bar. I have lots of photos. If you haven't been here. I guarantee if you go w/nothing in particular you need. You will find an easy 10 items you now feel are a must!!

This location is the closest to my home and is the only store that Carries basically all necessities so it saves me a trip to Keene. However lately the store has been closed more then it's been open! At first there was numerous signs of employees saying they were closing early. I even overheard a conversation between the manager and another employee saying how they just wanted to end their shift early so that's exactly what they did! Now the store has a sign on the door for about a week saying they are closed with no reasoning. Also the employees are far from professional, friendly, and helpful!! They are outside making out with one another, and inappropriately touching one another at the counter while checking out customers. I have also bought food at this location and realized it was outdated by a couple months after I was home and cooked the item. when it tasted funny that's when I checked and realized it was outdated! The manager (a guy) actually yelled at my friend one day whom didn't hear him say he would take him at a different checkout line and didn't apologize at all. And has been rude to other customers while shopping there! However there is one employee ( Nick) that is very friendly, helpful, always greets you with a smile, and always makes small talk. So BIG changes need to be done!

They close early several times a week without rhyme or reason. When they are open it's a complete mess, extremely poorly stocked. Fire your manager and close this location until it can be properly staffed.
