Do yourself a favor and stay here if you’re visiting the White Mountains area. The hospitality, amazing breakfast, and just overall coziness is unlike anything you’ll find at a commercial hotel. John, Mary and Clause the resident German Shepherd welcomed us with open arms. The fresh breakfast every morning was unreal, from the oatmeal pancakes to the frittata and fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee. Fresh baked goods every night upon returning from our day’s adventures. We will be back for sure and I would highly recommend anyone who wants a different experience staying in the White Mountains to do the same.

I have stayed here on at least a few occasions with my dad and by myself once, and I just got back about a week ago from going there again. It was amazing as always! This time I went with my boyfriend, and we were both incredibly pleased with John and Mary's hospitality, amazing breakfasts, as well as brownies and cookies that they would bake during the day, the fresh eggs right from the chickens, fresh squeezed orange juice, and how generous they are! It was wonderful how close the Welch Dickey Mountain trail is to the chalet. You can walk there in just about 10 minutes, and Waterville Valley with excellent restaurants and beautiful views is about 10 minutes away as well. The chalet is so incredibly clean and comfortable, and the beds were amazing! Everything is so cozy and comfortable, not to mention the big towels and bathrobes that are so cozy! The price is also incredibly reasonable, and you have your own entrance, while John and Mary live upstairs. My favorite place to stay by far!

We went years ago and really want to come back. The food spread was so amazing.! The best spot in the mountain! Everything was above and beyond.

This place could not have been better for our family. The hosts were wonderful, the food delicious, and the children and dog were welcomed with open arms! They also recommended a great local place for sledding which was great for the little ones.
