“Traveling through the White Mountains during the "foliage" period, we stayed overnight at this hotel a little away from the busiest routes. An uphill road lined with rare houses leads to the hotel. The external impact is quite spectacular. A large historic wooden house, typical of the area. The interiors take you back in time with their retro charm and with a few less comforts. Bathroom sacrificed. Cleanliness could be improved. Overall, however, we especially appreciated the surrounding environment. Possibility to have a quick dinner on site. Good quality/price ratio given the period chosen for the stay”

“The Adair is a White Mountain jewel that evokes the ambiance of a quintessential (1st class) New England bed & breakfast. Our dinner was a delightful experience with exceptional service. The menu is ambitious but everyone's food was excellent. We will be back”

“This is a nice inn. Spacious room and nice sitting areas. Quant and cozy feeling and good hosts. Breakfast is very good and will fill you. Nice little bar with some good choices of alcohol. The grounds have shuffleboard and horseshoes. Very close to Littleton which gives you dining options and shops.

What we didn't like:
The whirlpool bathtub is good, but the aerator which creates the bubbles didn't work properly. No tv, but we knew that going in. Road noise during the week is loud in the am with trucks running up and down Rt 18. The worst part was the rock hard bed! Some people like a stiff mattress, but I camp at times and have slept on softer ground. I got a bad back from it, and was exhausted from not sleeping well. Like sleeping on a rock.
Overall, nice Inn, but very expensive for what is offered and rock hard bed. Glad we got this mice looking room for a discount. For us, we won't go here again, ever!”

“We photographed our first wedding at this lovely, rustic wedding venue in late September of 2021. We loved how much space there was at the Inn for both the wedding party and guests to get ready / stay overnight. This place feels like an old ski lodge with lots of warmth and old wood. With a backyard ceremony space behind the venue, this was an easy location for guests to get around. The new owners have string twinkle lights around the border of the property and have plenty of lovely backdrops for bride and groom portraits. We are looking forward to documenting many more weddings at this rustic outdoor venue in the White Mountains of New Hampshire!”

“Absolutely beautiful place! The room was cute and quiet, the property itself is gorgeous and each room has chairs to lounge in outside. Michelle was the most wonderful host, she gave me recommendations for restaurants and hiking, and a made to order breakfast each morning! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quiet getaway, I for one will be back again!”

“Great location with sidewalks right into town from the property. Beautiful views of the meadow and Cannon Mountain from most of the rooms and the pool area. Hot tub was great and the pool was clean. The property is a bit dated but the beds were comfortable and the house was spacious for our group. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking needs. The motel rooms seemed to have A/C, but the house did not. We brought fans (there were 2 there) and it was a life saver in the heat. The manager was very kind, helpful and attentive to making sure we had what we needed. Will return again.”

“The staff are incredibly helpful and attentive. The rooms were very clean and the hotel is very attractively decorated, feeling cozy and comfortable- with various artwork depicting local historical areas of note.

There is a great grocery store just a short walk away- with an ice cream booth nearby

I would suggest some seating in the shaded area of the lawn out front as the cute gazebo is in the sunshine and is fairly small - but it IS cozy!

Great attractions nearby are Echo Lake Beach and Besaw Iron Furnace as well as a 20 minute? Drive to Canon Mt which doubles as a great tramway visit & medium difficulty trail area. (Medium difficulty..as in, as an over 60 5’3” woman, I had a little difficulty with the chunks of rocks and uneven trails on Canon Mt.

There is a very pretty newish wooden staircase to the second floor- made it feel kind of homey ?!

There’s also an ice, laundry, soda
and snack area down the other set of stairs to the lower level. All very clean and open enough that you feel safe by yourself too!

Safety: It has stairs between the main level and second floor (and also to lower level). As a women, I noticed that that openness made me feel completely safe. I wish other hotels were like this.”
