Not many of these places left nice family owned business. If you are doing any kind of late 18 century early 1900 remodel this is the place Hardware, flooring, doors, trim and if they don’t have it just follow them on Instagram and be patient I have been looking for Hardware for an old door took me a year and a half but I did find it there definitely worth the visit

Place has a taste, and ok stuff however, the women working there was a complete utter mess.... seemed high as a kite and was inappropriate to the maximum..... what a shame

We could not have gotten the look and feel on our 1895 house renovation without the two stained glass windows, fifteen interior/exterior doors, three matching newel posts, and door hardware that came from Noreast Salvage. The touch of the door knobs and the heavy doors that swing and close with the feel you get from closing a bank vault are hard to replicate with new products. The picture highlights three Noreast items; first morning light through the stained glass window, the french doors with beveled glass and a heavy four panel door.

We lived in a big old mansion before retiring. Walking through NorEast has the feeling of being in a museum of old world craftsmanship building parts.

Wanted an antique banister and newl post for our house, this place has plenty of selection. The other picks around the warehouse all looked amazing, they get quality picks in there.

I drove 2.5 hours one-way yesterday (12/28) only to find that this business is not open when they say they are...I arrived at 4:30pm (30 minutes before their posted closing time) only to see a guy in a pick-up locking the gate to the parking lot. So they obviously began shutting down a full hour before they said they were closing. If they don't want to keep the business hours they select themselves, perhaps they should opt for an "appointment only" schedule to save customers like myself a wasted 5 hour roundtrip. It's disappointing as I like this business and wanted to inspect some items they had listed on their Instagram page...so they likely lost at least a $3,000-$5,000 sale due to their poor customer service.

Terrible experience!I talked to John and told him that I was looking for 12-13" wide boards and he said they had plenty and it was $7.00 a board foot. I drove all the way down from Wells Maine, about an hour away, and John was not there so I asked to see the wood I was looking for and was told I couldn't go through and take just the wood I was in need of. They had another stack of wood and I was told I could buy this but the price went up to $15.00 a board foot, more than double.I got in touch with John a few days later and he said I was being to specific in what I wanted, dude that's why I called in the first place! I didn't want to waste my time driving down if I couldn't buy what I was looking for.If that was a problem you should have said so when I first called you to see if you had what I was looking for.I can't stand people that lie to get you in and then switch things up on you.Looks like a neat place, the people are not.Highly recommend avoiding this place.Terrible experience.

Our visit was not a very good one. My husband called looking for specific widths of old barn board for what he is making and wanted 300 board feet, he was told no problem it was about $7.00 a board foot. When he got there they would not let him take what he called about and tried to switch him to a pile of old board for $15.00 a board foot, more than double. We drove an hour to get there so we made a two hour round trip for nothing!Terrible experience and rude people. We should have payed attention to the other negative reviews.

Simply wonderful! Our friends wanted to stop in and look for fixtures for an upcoming renovation, so my husband and I tagged along. Stepping into Nor'East Architectural Antiques is like stepping into a fever dream of beautiful glass, light fixtures, furniture, and architectural salvage. I have a degree from Sotheby's, so I know The Goods when I see them, and Nor'East definitely has The Goods. I found the most beautiful fireplace insert and the knowledgeable staff gave me an extremely fair price. Highly recommend!
