I recently went in and spent over $400 on new brake pads and rotors for my 2020 Subaru WRX. Assuming they are the experts, I bought the ones they picked out for me that they said would fit.
When my husband and I went to change them out, admittedly, we messed up. We put the rear rotors on the front. As I went to back out of the driveway, we could tell immediately something was wrong. We stopped and figured out our mistake, but a nice scratch was already on each rotor. It wasnt going to impede function however, so no big deal. As we start to put them on the rear where they belong, only to find that they didnt fit. Autozone gave us the wrong rotors.
My husband took them back and the manager basically told him too bad. They were scratched so they wouldn't take them back. I understand we messed up, but we wouldn't need to try and return them had they given me the proper ones to begin with. Whatever, we buy new ones and eat the cost.
He get back home and realize they gave us the wrong brake pads too. He has to go back up there a second time, which by now had eaten up a huge chunk of our day. Despite the fact that the brake pads were new in the box, and my husband had the same credit card that I purchased them on, the manager refused to let my husband return them because he didn't have the reciept on him. He had the printed order sheet autozone had given me, but apparently that didn't count. We had to purchase new brake pads.
We found the receipt and will be returning them today... but moral of this story - GO TO NAPA INSTEAD. This fiasco turned a simple project into a 6 hour ordeal and we lost the money on those rotors. Boo Autozone, boo. ?

I honestly feel that they need to hire more people I walked in there one day to only one person on running the store by himself when on other days they have over 3 people this isn't the first time I've walked in on this. poor guy looked burnt out by the end of the day they should really take more care of there workers and not leave them their to fend for themselves

Went in to get my wipers changed as it’s part of their deal, and the woman wouldn’t switch them because it was wet outside. She was rude for absolutely no reason.

Got my check engine light checked for free, the staff were so helpful and gave me advice so I knew what to ask the mechanic and how to make sure I wasn’t getting bullied into paying for anything I didn’t need! Really appreciated their time

I always get excellent service for every visit to AutoZone stores until this afternoon I went to the Rochester AutoZone to replace my car battery, wipers and one headlight bulb. This visit turns out to be a nightmare. The manager in this store, everybody called him “Kevin”, is super mean and rude, not only to the customers but also to his employee. In addition, he is super lazy. He blamed the boy who helped me to replace the headlight bulb and battery, and refused to replace the wipers I bought from his store, so I have to drive to Somersworth AutoZone to replace them. If everybody behaves like Kevin, mean to customers and his colleagues, AutoZone will close soon. I will never recommend Rochester AutoZone to my colleagues and friends, since Kevin provided a terrible service to customers!
