These days one typically does online research to determine which product to buy and then looks for the exact aisle and bay location to efficiently go into a store to pick it up. This is exactly what I had done. I was specifically looking at wi-fi battery operated camera doorbells. The staff member responsible for the aisle where I went to retrieve my product last week, engaged in a conversation with me and was clearly knowledgeable about these products. Needless to say his knowledge and experience with the products saved me about $90 when I walked out with a different brand than I thought I needed. I've been using this product now for almost a week and I am so pleased with the value I am getting. Thanks guy in aisle 10 at Lowe's in Salem!

Today I had to go back to Lowe's to return the backsplash to my vanity that I purchased yesterday it was broken. The assistant store manager Jay took me down to the aisle got me another one had a great conversation along the way about how good the store looks, in recent times as compared to the past was very satisfied with the service. This is the way people should treat customers.!!

I went to the Salem NH Lowe's on Friday to try to find some compressed Biobricks called Canawick fire blocks. They were supposed to be on the endcap of Aisle 23 according to their online shopping tools. They weren't there but the staff of the store was unbelievably helpful in tracking them down. It ended up they were in the top shelf out in the Lawn & Garden center but they found a forklift and took them down within a few minutes. I felt as though the staff went the extra mile to help their customer and I appreciate it a lot. I will say that the older reviews saying that the cashiers were pretty inattentive and condescending are absolutely true but the new staff is great! Recommend 100%!

Had a very bad experience in the garden center. The staff is not very knowledgeable and they were rude the plants were in bad condition and they would not sell me the plants because of there condition but all the vegetable plants were in bad shape. At store #1600 in Salem Oregon on Turner Road

What a terrible experience I had with Lowes Salen, NH. I'm redoing my kitchen and I bought a stove among other materials on April 12. Everything arrive on April 17th except the stove, tiles where broken. When I called numerous time trying to speak with an associate and calls kept getting dropped by the system and when i finally got on with person after 5-6 attempts. The person I spoke to told that the stove would arrive next week as they no longer had it in stock. Next week comes and i get another email that the stove would not arrive and to call the store. Called the store and same issues from the week before a they put in on hold and hang up on me. Called again and same thing happen, after multiple attempts i kept getting dropped or hang up on. Someone call me back that afternoon letting me know that they would re-enter the order and that it would arrive on Tuesday, its now May 9th and the stove has not arrive and guess what?! Im calling the store and no answers. This has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had and it pains to write this because Im a Lowes customer!!! I giving it 1 star because I can't give it 0

Shopping experiences at big box stores usually are fair at best for the majority of the time. We recently received great service and wanted to pass along our praise. Store 2382- Nicholas. My wife and I were purchasing a few items and also looking to rent a carpet cleaner (review below). At the service desk, Nicholas patiently answered all of our questions regarding the rental and cleaning supplies. Nicholas steered us to the smaller bottle given the number of rugs we planned to clean, explained the operation of the unit, and the required cleaning process of the unit. At checkout he informed us of the required paperwork to bring back for the return and how that process worked. Nicholas was professional, cordial, genuine, and covered all of the necessary information. Terrific job. The Bissel carpet cleaner brought back to life the 4 rugs we cleaned for the first since owning them (3+ years). The Bissel carpet cleaner was effective and easily to use. Ensure you have room for the cleaner and decent strength (lift 40 lbs) to move the unit into your car and house. My wife and I were both ecstatic at the results of the carpet cleaning. John

Infuriating experience recently at Lowe's in Salem, NH. I was in the market for a dishwasher and had been buying Lowe's gift cards over time so I could buy it outright. I made it clear to the salesperson that I wanted to stay in this budget. I looked at a few different models, and I decided on one that was in stock and could be delivered and installed the following week. The night before it was set to be delivered, I received a call at 8:30 at night that the delivery window was 8:30-12:30 the following day. I TOOK A DAY OFF WORK for this, just to wait around for nothing. By 2:30 there was no dishwasher and no communication about why. After being bounced around for an hour on the phone from customer service to the original store, someone informed me that the dishwasher I ordered was out of stock and wouldn't be back in for another month. (I SPECIFICALLY made sure this one was in stock when I bought it.) I went into the store to fix this situation. The only fee they knocked off for this inconvenience was a $40 fee for taking away my old dishwasher, which was quickly eaten up by an additional $200+ dollars I somehow had to pay for this purchase. (Again, I made my budget clear at the outset, and now I am way beyond it.) The dishwasher is now set to be delivered "at some point in the next few weeks" with no clear indication when installation will take place. I usually shop at Home Depot for things like this, but I wanted to try Lowe's. If this is standard procedure there, I will not make that mistake again.

I hate to leave a poor review but the customer service in this Lowe's was ridiculously poor. I was looking for a water filter to replace a Kenmore variety for my fridge (hard to find now that Sears is gone) and I had gotten a replacement at the Home Depot last time (another not so stellar customer service experience at the one in Reading trying to find it again this time, but I digress). So, I had both brand boxes with me and wanted to see if they either had one of the brands or an equivalent. We finally found a woman sitting tucked away, almost hiding near the fridges. I asked about the filter and she immediately said nope, don't have anything, she was "filling in" and really couldn't help us, couldn't go over to the display and even look, and actually told us to just go on Amazon and buy it! Wow, way to get customers to your store... they had a huge section of filters, all different brands and I was going to look it up myself but then I said hey, why don't I do what she suggested and just order it on Amazon. So that's what I did and you can bet I won't return to this Lowe's location for anything in the future.

I bought an extended warranty which Lowes will not honor. I still have receipt. called and made an apt... twice... no call, no show. Went to store. Seemed helpful. One week later, still hadn't heard anything so went back into store. Everything I was told the week before is no longer true. I would never buy a warranty from them again! $300 and still have one more year on warranty. Complete BS

Lowe's/GE/Assurant protection plan hell. Day four. I am thinking dump the air conditioner in their parking lot, purchase a new one elsewhere. Not worth the three hours on hold and still no resolution to the problem.

I can't even get a call back. I paid $35 to set up an installation and picked out a vanity and counter top. someone was supposed to come out to measure, but three weeks later I'm still being ignored.

Kudos to Richard in lawn and garden from going above and beyond! Outstanding customer service!! He helped us in a totally different department that we was not from, just to help us with all our bathroom renovations From vanities to toilets and faucets! My wife and I didn't know this was not his department. He did not break a sweat once, with plenty of knowledge and customer service it was a pleasure working with Richard. He definitely is a breath of fresh air compared to other attendance in other big box stores, Lows in Salem is our store from now on as long as they keep hiring people like Richard...

No one to ever help you!!! After waiting 30 mins to ask about a grill i wanted to buy i was told they have 52 of them but they are way in the back we can't get them right now. I said really they responded welcome to sundays at Lowe's. Such a joke. I would think 50 percent of sales happen on weekends. No one wants to work anymore. Even pre covid they never had anyone in store departments to assist you. Stick with Home Depot
