I rented a mill space to use as an office for just over a year and a half. Moving in was easy, other than the fact that the freight elevator was out of service (out of service was something that I had to get used to at the mill as most things were, including bathrooms, at one time or another). During the initial walkthrough with Brian, the property manager, I noted more than a few imperfections with the space. Brian stated that "this is an old mill...and we don't expect the spaces to be perfect when leaving". This is why I was surprised to hear that not only was Brian going to keep my security deposit when I left, but was going to try and charge me additional fees due to imperfections that I pointed out WHEN I MOVED IN! This operation is shady at best. BE ADVISED, DO NOT RENT HERE. There are plenty of spaces in the area at comparable rates that are managed by more reputable companies.

Are you looking for an office space in a cool mill building - thats well maintained with a great landlord? Well then, you should not rent from the Mills at Salmon Falls. While we enjoyed some of our time there, the building seemed to be falling apart. We stopped taking the elevator because half the time the doors wouldn't open correctly or it sounded like it was going to break at any moment. The worst part was our experience at the end - the landlord tried to charge us for damage done from the previous tenants. I honestly think with the amount of people leaving this building they are now relying on keeping security deposits to cover the cost of their dwindling occupants. I wish I could give them a better rating - but my experience at the end was very disappointing.
There's plenty of other options out there... I suggest you go elsewhere.

Overall, we had a decent 18 or so months renting a fairly large space on the 4th floor of 3 Front Street for 3 people in digital marketing. However, things turned when we decided to leave. If you rent in this spot, make sure to document anything discussed with Brian, as he is not a man of his word.
The prior tenant left a large wall covered in glue residue from what I assume was soundproofing material. Upon moving in, we asked Brain if we could paint this wall and I quote “you can do whatever you want”. Needless to say, we didn’t get around to painting the wall, but when we left we were charged $1,495 dollars for damage to the wall including glue removal. We simply hung a large white board and a cork board.
Very disappointed we ended the relationship on that note, but don’t get scammed, rent from another landlord on the Seacoast. There is plenty of Commercial space available.

Lovely collection of small business, deducting one star because of the godawful dolphin pictures taped all over one of the bathroom stalls. It’s giving elementary school make it stop.

A regional gem to see working creative studios and meet artists. Funky, a little gritty and a very cool place with a ton of personality.

Lots of little creative shops with in.Wooden floors I believe are original flooring.Spiral stairs are your only way up or down. The elevator does not allow people. It is a very difficult place to visit if you have issues with breathing, walking or heights. This is NOT handicapped accessible.

Very nice, and down to earth people. Easy to work with. A terrific place for both tennant's and clients. Brian gave me a history lesson about the origins of the building. You'll have to hear it for yourself...

I only went there to visit family but everybody I met there was an extremely pleasant the grounds are very well taken care of all the apartments are very nice and I think everybody that got the opportunity to live there are truly blessed. It's in a great location directly across from an emergency room and a Dunkin' donuts oh and Starbucks as well and the 7-Eleven which is pretty much on the Mills property!!! Which is great if you're a walker and it happens to be raining
