Bought car at Rochester Vw (2022 Taos) and did all service there. Loyal customer! Needed service for an emergency trip I had to make and guess what? They would not make ANY effort to meet my needs. So much for customer loyalty appreciation ! I WILL NEVER SEE THEM AGAIN. Seacoast VW took care of my needs. The Queens wave to you Rochester, I hope people are not fooled by you as I was.

Car buying usually isn't the most pleasant experience but all that was different when dealing with Mark Leahy, Casey Beranger and Matt Vachon at Rochester Volkswagen. If you've ever experienced a change of Service Spirit after the Sale, you won't with this Team. They thrive on happy satisfied customers. Kudos to all of you!

I bought a car from here that was a complete lemon. My under warranty requests were met with complete opposition until my hand was forced. At which time I had to force my hand and make these people honor their promises. The lengthy and unfulfilled services were absolutely atrocious. They claim to be commission free but they are not. It’s a cult oriented business that each lie just begets more lies. Stay far far away from these people.

Jackson was really great and such a pleasure to work with. She made me feel comfortable and safe with my new car and its first service. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. Jackson made me feel like I was really part of the family.

Customer service is excellent! Casey was so personable and made the purchase of a big ticket item seamless and easy. Thomas also, was quite helpful and pleasant when I came in with questions.

EVERY setting was changed when I got back into my car. The seat height, the seat position, the steering wheel position, mirrors, the display on my dashboard. Recognizing that some technicians need to make some adjustments, not all of these adjustments needed to be made and there was clearly no effort made to return to the settings

First of all the majority of these reviews over the last few months are friend and family of current employees and owners.You can match names mentioned in reviews with current owners and employees, which I’ve done and suggest anyone do the same when you read this. Clearly they got hyper on this when the new owners purchased this place as is customary and shady these days. I thought all the 5 star vague reviews were odd based off my recent experience with the new owners and Thomas in service and I was correct.The previous owners were excellent, but things have changed along with service employees and management. Thomas told my wife she needed rear rotors with brake pads.brake pads correct, rotors incorrect. She had him call me and I asked him point blank, “does this car need rotors, are they damaged?”. His response word for word was, “we recommend new rotors with all brake changes. Just another $700 or so! He would not answer me directly and the reason for this is because he just wants his cut of the service fee. The owner or general manager should let Thomas know you can smell this a mile away.Instead of arguing with a young man in his twenties (been there) only looking at what he can make out of the service, I decided to seek a second opinion of a master technician locally, as I had just learned this place sold and previous owners left. The treatment was bad immediately. This technician which has been working on all German cars for 40 years told me the rotors are perfectly fine and safe.This vehicle is a commuting vehicle with high mileage, so the juice isn’t worth the squeeze. I’ll be replacing it soon. I was going to buy two new Volkswagens from them this fall, which I told Thomas and I was still treated this way. There is nothing that can be done to retrieve my business or anyone I know locally. The more I’m reminded of this negative experience, the more I’ll keep discussing this horrible place locally. Places like THIS are why women feel taken advantaged of and he didn’t expect to have me on the line.Good luck with your future “recommendations”and not answering direct questions when asked by a customer. I hate nothing more than being lied to and taken advantage of. I will sorely miss Steve which used to be in service (who knows what happened to this great guy) and the previous owners which were first class. I’ll be checking out Saco, ME , Manchester, NH and Greenland, NH for our next purchases. Thomas will cost this dealership far more than he’ll make you. You’ll figure that out years from now.Expect to be over charged with questions not answered directly by Thomas when he “recommends” things for his wallet. Let’s keep this review active, so I can remember to talk about it with everyone locally, weekly. ??

My experience was great, I arrived early (over the lunch break) however I was promptly greeted, made comfortable and my vehicle was serviced promptly and in a professional manner.When I got home I noticed there was a dent in my door that I am very sure was not there and while I had no proof it specifically happened at the dealer I reached out and a repair was arranged with minimal effort.Having come from almost a decade with Volkswagen Group Australia I understand the dealer was under very little obligation to rectify the dent so the gesture of goodwill is what will keep me in the Volkswagen brand and specifically return every time to Rochester.

We have bought multiple vehicles here. They are the most friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful car dealership we have ever experienced. Especially the Manager. He always remembers our names, no matter how long it's been since we have been in.

My girlfriends Tiguan was brought in for the second time for a check engine light. First time VW said we needed new coils and spark plugs, that ran us $700. CEL came on two days later, so a clear diagnosis was not established from the beginning. I personally took a look under the hood. Noticed a hose missing from the cylinder assembly, I mentioned this during setting up the second appointment and when we arrived the second time. They charged us $145 for 35 mins in the shop to diagnose the CEL. Was later told it would be $1,700 for 4 new fuel injectors and a carbon cleaning and it would be a 7 hour job. Told them we would think about it, looked under the hood after the appointment and didn't replace the hose I mentioned which I thought would be the main reason for the continues CEL. We've been very patient and receptive to everything they've suggested but this is getting out of hand, we do not have the time or money to have our vehicle in the shop every other month has it has been since October, and lately it feels as though they're messing with things while it's in their possession. My girlfriend had me take it in and speak with them this time cause she feels their taking advantage of her. I would rate them zero stars if I could.

What an incredible experience shopping for a car at Rochester Volkswagen! Jimmy Breitmaier was knowledgeable, professional, and really took the time to explain all of my options to me! He went above and beyond to make the process go smoothly- he spent time entertaining my daughters and our dog when I was working with Katherine Wysicki, the outstanding financier, to wrap up paperwork. Would highly recommend both of them, and the dealership as a whole! Thank you so much!

Amazing service department that went above and beyond. I was just passing through and called to see if I could be fit in the same day, they not only fit me in but helped fix my mirror and find my spare tire set up without any charge. Every person I encountered was incredibly friendly and with customer service as a clear priority. Something you don't find most places these days!

Casey Beranger was great to work with!! Super friendly and respectful associate that helped us make our decision of buying our brand new VW! She wasn’t pushy at all(which I greatly dislike) Our entire experience was pleasant because of her & we even got a few laughs too!! Felt more like family ? Honestly this is the first time I have gone to a dealership without that feeling of having to argue and spend all day at the dealership. Everything from start to finish was great Scot was excellent as well as Mark our salesman and Mike the finance guy. I have been to many, many dealerships in my lifetime and I can honestly say the this was the best experience I have had, no arguing, pretty much straight forward which is unusual for a car dealership. I would definitely recommend going there to purchase a car.
