No Stars to post....yet. The Lilac Mall died when most strip malls of America died...held up only by a few vendors who's shrinking clientele slowly loose interest. However, there is a possible light up ahead. The new owners, working with our (questionable) city council (...yeah, I called them out...I live next to one who sat on at council for a cool decade, and I have video of her making childish faces at my house because of her (even more childish) feud with my (mentally ill) spouse....classy....but, I digress), are working on putting in a casino!
No, I don't think this will "prop-up" Rochester, but the one that took over Dover Bowl didn't harm the area....I for one would like to see literally ANY attempt to revitalize the Lilac Mall.....then I will rate this place.

This place used to be hopping. But the stores that hung on are doing well.

Went here to go to Jordan Family Eye care, which is now moved to the other side of town. The mall itself is very sleepy/deserted. But clean. Sad.

I still like it. But seems like things are not as good as they used to be.

RIP - Gone are the days of the Lilac Mall as we knew it. Used to go to K-Mart for candy before catching a movie. The smell of Papa Gino's pizza always lurking in the entryway with the odd kiosk of arts and crafts and airbrushed T-shirts.

Under construction. It's going to be a casino which is not a good idea for a town like Rochester. The parking is going to be a disaster and Rochester already has trouble creating roadways for a growing population. This mall used to be a great place to go and check out with friends or family. However, there is no longer a movie theater, arcade or even shopping centers. The casino will bring a whole different clientele that doesn't look promising. Not to mention the lack of activities offered to those under 21.
