I had a manicure and pedicure with Brittney recently. Not only is Brittney amazing with her craft, she’s very nurturing, I’ve never had a pedicure feel so good, loved every minute. She’s very conscientious and professional.

I had an amazing experience getting my hair done by Tracey! She makes sure to understand exactly what you want your hair to look like and brings the vision to life perfectly. The salon space is inviting and has a wonderful vibe. Tracey's friendly spirit and positive attitude makes for a wonderful experience all around.

Tracey is literally the best. I’ve followed her everywhere and I would follow her anywhere!! I had some hair loss that she guided me through-even recommended against a frizz treatment. She always prioritizes education and clean products but it never feels like a lecture. My hair is now so full and long. She is never judgmental, her prices are more than fair and the result is amazing. I could not recommend her enough.Services: Haircut

I hadn’t gotten my hair done in about 11 months when I went to Tracey for the first time! She took care of my roots and educated me a lot about my hair through the appointment. I went to my previous hairdresser for 6+ years and she went on maternity leave, Tracey would be the only other person I trust with my hair. I'm hers for life! Mary has been my stylist for nearly 20 years now and is as passionate about her work today as she was on day one!. Mary truly is an artist AND a stylist, and now also a dear friend . She delivers consistent cuts ( important to me with really short hair), offers ideas for a "new you" every few years to keep it fresh (if so desired), and nails it every time! After decades in the "bizz" she still challenges herself to stay relevant in her field. You won't find this caliber of a true styling professional anywhere else north of Boston. It's a delight to be "in her chair" every 5 weeks!

I haven’t seen the inside of a salon since before COVID. To my delight I had the pleasure of having my hair colored by Jaclyn. I wanted something a bit funky and true to my authentic self. Boy did she deliver!! She was very patient with me and is the consummate artist! Thank u so much Jaclyn and Mary, the salon is gorgeous and so is my hair ❤️

I am impressed with Mary's cutting and color techniques, as well as her responsible Covid safety practices. She's very thorough. Her attention to detail on my haircut was great, and I loved my cut six weeks later. She also added some beautiful dimension with color and I am very happy with the outcome.

I have been going to Mary for many years. She is a true professional, a perfectionist, and all around great. She will listen to what you want for a cut and translate it into something that is uniquely perfect for you. I always come away loving my new haircut. She has also taken great care to make sure that customers feel safe during the pandemic.

Mary has been cutting my curls for many years. My most recent visit was different with health precautions in place, and the Starling Hair and Beauty salon was especially clean, comfortable, and inviting. Mary has always been professional and competent in her skill - now is no exception. I highly recommend her and the Starling team during these current times, and always, for anyone looking for quality in the seacoast!

My first time returning to see Mary since February. I arrived feeling tentative. But I've known Mary for a long time, and was sure she would create a safe experience. I was not disappointed. She is a perfectionist ... cut, color, music, sense of humor, and taking her clients and her own safety seriously. Thank you. It feels so good to have another amazing haircut. Starling gives the best haircuts, has a comfortable and inviting space, and is in a great location. Mary and staff are very talented I moved to Boston a little over 5 years ago and tried 3 or 4 of the top rated barbershops/salons without luck, they just don't cut it compared to Mary and Starling Hair and Beauty. I happily travel up from Boston for a haircut each time and always walk out feeling great.

I'll be honest, I had an appointment today to get my haircut at Starling, and I was a little tentative going out into the "new" world for the first time since February... I knew there were protocols but would they be in my favor?All that went away when I arrived at Starling. Amazing! The concern and care for my well being (as well as their own) were miles above anything I expected or have seen. What a comfortable, intelligent and safe experience. Thank you, and thank you Mary for the great haircut. It had been awhile! Be well and safe.

I have been spoiled for many years with precision cuts and superior color. When people are suprised to learn I color my hair, all of the credit goes to Mary and her seemingly magical skill. The past few months proved that if I miss an appointment, my cut will grow out while holding its shape and looking good. My visit to Starling yesterday gave me the same killer service and then some. Mary's preparation of the salon in response to state guidelines is far and above what is required. Not only did I appreciate the measures in place to keep the salon team and me safe, I felt cared about and respected by the obvious consideration, expense and planning that went into it. Just one more reason to love Starling Hair. Amazing haircut & rich color (as usual), ability to stock up on the sustainable products I love, a clean and safe environment, and the best view in town - - this business is mighty in making the experience positive in a time when so much is not. Thank you, Mary, for everything!
