Leo and his wife (I’m so sorry, I didn’t get her name) were absolutely wonderful. I needed a baptism gift for my niece and had left it off til the last moment- and they were able to find and engrave the perfect gift for her. They truly went above and beyond! I’ll definitely be back for all my jewelry needs :)

A classy place with lots of incredible jewelry. The staff is really knowledgeable. Lisa and Leo helped me restore and breathe life into a piece that was a family heirloom and they did an amazing job. Several pieces have been bought from them since. Everything that my family has bought from Portsmouth Jewelers is beautiful and well thought out. We are so grateful to have this family owned shop in Portsmouth!

I brought a ring in to get sized and was told it would be $80 but when I picked it up, I was then informed it was $80 every ring size and I had gotten it increased a few sizes, so they charged me more. Then one of the stones fell out. I brought it back and asked if i could get some of the money back for sizing it and they refused. Told me they had to use more gold like i was supposed to know that. I thought they just stretched the ring. Anyway, wasnt too impressed about the whole thing. Buyers be ware of real prices of services!! Explaining the entire interaction doesnt take away from the fact that when I asked how much it would be I was told $80, and when I spoke up for myself, i was told it was $80 a size. It didnt make sense to me either and after reading your response, it still doesnt. Youre just attempting to gaslight my respose.

Leo and Lisa are incredible at what they do and are truly the kindest people. They were so patient and helpful in helping my husband create my engagement ring as well as us both choosing bands. Highly highly recommend Portsmouth Jewelers!

Just stopped in a few minutes before closing time to drop off my watch for battery repair (thinking I’d be leaving it there for a few days. Not only did he change it on the spot for a great price, but him and his wife were an absolute delight. I definitely found my new local jeweler!

Outstanding quality and service in a charming, friendly environment! Don't let the size of the shop fool you - they are my "go-to" jeweler for advice and very reasonably-priced repairs! Leo (and his wife, Lisa) are extraordinarily detail-oriented and very knowledgeable. They take the time to examine every facet of your item to ensure that they'll return it in its best possible condition. I've been thrilled with every ring that they have re-sized or repaired! Highly recommend!
When I had to figure out an estimated value for and dispose of a large collection of jewelry for a friend's estate, Leo and Lisa were kind enough to spend time examining the items and advising me on how to proceed. Can't thank them enough!

Highly recommend if you're looking for a low-pressure, personalized experience for ring shopping. We tried another store on the same day and the difference was so apparent (the other store was quite snobby!). This husband & wife team took the time to listen to what we wanted, provide advice, and let us try on different styles. They even made the great suggestion to come back again when the humidity changed to make sure the fit would be right. We didn't feel rushed or pressured at all. Ring shopping can be stressful but Portsmouth Jewelers made it a great experience!

I am picky about work on my gold jewelry and this is an A+ place....Excellent in every way. Leo knows the gems and has decades of experience so good for rare vintage items and replacement items. Lisa is wonderful in assisting and planning/ordering. I am so happy to have found them and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them for purchases and also repairs.

I came here to have a watch band repaired with a new pin. They fixed it in 2 minutes and didn't even charge us. What a great place! We will be back for sure and will exclusively choose Portsmouth Jewelers for any repairs/cleanings going forward.
