Great customer service, go see Dave and he will make sure you have a great experience!! I was a first time car buyer, so I did not know much about the buying process, but he and everyone else in the sales department made it quick and painless. As a female going into a car dealership, especially for the first time, it can be a little intimidating, but I felt heard in what I wanted/needed and I was taken care of! Love my new Ford Escape. I also won’t go anywhere else for repairs, as they took care of my car from highschool for years that my mom bought through them.

My salesman Jake was fast and efficient, and the manager team he worked with got me in and out. The price we decided on was very manageable and fair. I appreciate the details and showing me the vehicle having it parked and up front to the building ready for me to test drive and to get the feel.of the new vehicle. Mike also did a great job making sure everything went smooth. All in all great team , great dealership. Thank you all so much.

I had an excellent experience working with the folks at Portsmouth Used Car Center. Everyone was pleasant, straightforward and very responsive to all my questions. This included everyone from the sales associate, sales manager and finance manager that I worked with. I look forward to doing business again with them in the future!

We had a great experience with Portsmouth Ford Used car center. The staff is very friendly and made the buying experience painless. We did not spend the entire day at the dealership like we used to in the past and we got a great deal on a truck. We will be back again!

After going to another dealer earlier that afternoon and being let down, a quick email to Kristina confirmed the Jeep we were interested in was still there, and an appointment made for that day.When we arrived, the Jeep was pulled up to the front and the salesman greated us right away and got everything going for a test drive within minutes of us getting there.After our test drive they got the Jeep directly into detailing and paperwork was done.All in all I think we were there for a bit more than an hour. Our salesman, Jacob, was quick and friendly.We would definitely look on your lot if we were in the market for another used vehicle. The Jeep is in great shape and your pricing was fair. We would recommend anyone in the market for a used vehicle go see you guys.

I just purchased a 2020 Ford Escape from Portsmouth Ford Used Car Center yesterday. The process was easy. David Bettinger made the buying process easy and made me feel comfortable. As a single female going in to purchase a car can feel extremely intimidating, but it was easy....I never felt pressured by Dave and felt he was very honest. Side note.... if you need a good laugh/smile, go see Dave....

Called this dealership at 10:00AM on a Thursday and explained that I needed a car ASAP. I found a vehicle on their website, applied for financing, and then they set everything up so that I could show up after work, test drive it, then buy and drive away. Absolutely phenomenal car-buying experience. Couldn't recommend more.

I will never buy a vehicle at any place that isn't a Portsmouth Ford affiliate. I bought a 2011 Ford fusion several years ago that has served my family extremely well over the years. It was recently made not operable and while everyone is okay I had to make the move to get another vehicle. I went to the PFord used car location and knew I wanted a fusion again. They just so happened to have the perfect black with black leather fusion sel that I test drove and loved instantly. The sales team doesn't hound you. They let you make a decision and help with any questions you have. Not only does the sales team not yank you around They made the car buying process cheap and seamless. No massive down payments I was given a range of 300 500 and 800 dollar down payments which is cheap. Of course if you're well qualified you don't even have to but as someone working their credit back it was nice knowing I didn't have to empty the bank for a down payment. I can't recommend the Portsmouth Ford family of dealerships enough. These guys and gals are the best.Thanks PFord.

Looked at some trucks online. Found one I liked. When I arrived it had just been sold. Jacob Smith was patient as I looked at few more online and he brought them all out so I could test drive them. Fell in love with a 2020f150xlt. Took my equinox I. Trade and all the paper was same as anyplace else you go. After I was home noticed a door didn't lock and tailgate latch was sticky. Robert Lewis at the service desk quickly got the truck in and replaced the tualgate latch and the door module latch. Very happy with the service department so far.. and as a bonus I asked of they could pull the trailer hitch that was frozen I to the receiver. After a discussion with a 20 pound persuader. It was removed. Already planning on updating the wife's ride in the spring. Got cap shamed when I arrived home. Cap removed and rollup bed cover installed. ?LMAO

Key Points: Before making the trip, I recommend that you confirm that the cars advertised on their website are genuinely available for purchase. I don't recommend using their guarantees as a reason to buy here unless you thoroughly question the terms and conditions.More Details: Last Saturday, I searched the Portsmouth Used Car Center website for Hyundai SUVs and found two Hyundai Tucson models and one Hyundai Santa Fe listed for sale. Lured by the advertised warranty, price match guarantee, and 72-hour exchanges, I decided it was worth the drive from another state. When I got there, I learned that only one Tucson SUV was available, which was not my top choice. Despite it being a lesser deal than the other advertised Tucson in terms of mileage and extras, I ended up purchasing the one that was available.Within the 72-hour window, I noticed that although my ad was taken down, the ad for the other Tucson remained online. I called the dealership Monday morning to see if it was available. Initially, they said I could swap mine out with the other Tucson, but then they called back to say the other one had been sold and they were just waiting on the title. The unavailable Tucson remained on their site until I talked to their sales manager about it that Thursday.My second negative experience there involves their price match guarantee. The same weekend I bought my car, another dealer advertised a Tucson with the same year, make, model, and trim, with no accidents, lower mileage, at a lower price (even after factoring in their dealer fees), that also included price match and exchange guarantees. Thinking that this was similar in options and benefits, I asked Portsmouth Used Car Center if they would honor their price match guarantee. Unfortunately, they declined my request, offering four free oil changes as compensation. Considering the expenses involved in traveling from another state, such as tolls, gas, and mileage, this was not a worthwhile option.I shared my experience with a friend who used to work in sales, and he said that advertising products that aren't actually available for sale can be considered "bait and switch"--particularly since the unavailable Tucson was a better deal. Prior to visiting the dealership, I researched the fair market values of both cars on Edmunds and Autotrader, and the unavailable Tucson was considered a "good" deal, while the one I ultimately purchased was not. At the time, I thought it was still worth the cost for the peace of mind from the guarantees. I now just feel deceived by manipulative marketing tactics employed by the dealership. The price match guarantee seems difficult, if not impossible, to quality for. On a positive note, the salesperson I worked with was pleasant. If the issue with the unavailable Tucson hadn't happened, and if another dealer hadn't dropped their price that same weekend, I would be none the wiser. It wasn't until I tried to actually use the benefits I paid for that I felt duped by what appears to be a more insidious version of slick marketing.

We had Rick as our salesman and he was amazing along with the whole team from sales to finance to final sale. Couldn’t have asked for a better team. They answered all of our question kept in contact with us the whole time. Took amazing care of us. When we purchase a car again we will come back here. Amazing job Portsmouth Used Car Center team. I recently purchased a 2021 F150 from Portsmouth ford used car center and can’t believe how genuinely nice the salesman Michael Moser was. He answered all my questions and wasn’t pushy. I can’t believe how painless the whole process was. I will definitely be referring everyone I know to Portsmouth ford used car center. The upfront price and no dealer fees is also a huge bonus

Here's a shout out to the service team at Portsmouth Used Car Center---especially KRIS and KEVIN!!! Kevin was the point of contact on the phone and kept us informed at all times, Kris was the AMAZING tech that saved us from a $10,000 new engine. In order to NOT have to replace the engine, Kris had to very carefully remove 16 rusted bolts (which usually break), and if even one of them would have broken that would have been it. We were on pins and needles waiting to hear how it went. Kris has got to be one of the best auto/truck techs out there. He did it successfully!! And Keven kept us up to date with what was going on, managing our expectations in case it didn't go as hoped. Thank you SO SO MUCH guys. Great work and great customer service. Very happy customers. Nicely done.
