I cannot say enough about how great this program is. I had been looking for somewhere or someone to help me figure out what I needed to do to jumpstart feeling good about myself angain and keeping that feeling. I had tried different diets and fitness classes but nothing really “stuck” for me. It was all short term fixes that never lasted. I didn’t feel supported in the long run. Finding On Target Fitness and joining their small personal training program was the best decision I ever made! Their trainers are extremely supportive and attentive to your personal fitness needs and goals and encourage you and ensure you feel confident and comfortable in your personalized workouts. They adjust your workouts as needed and encourage you every session and beyond with follow up messages and encouragement on off days. The support you have from the trainers as well as the community feeling you have with your fellow trainees is above and beyond what I had believed a program could provide. I have never felt better about myself since joining this group- I’m stronger in so many ways than ever before. Thanks so much to Alec, Ryan, Katie, and Joe, I’m much more comfortable being over 50, knowing that it’s just a number and that I am so much more than a number.

Joining this gym was a great decision for me. I needed help re-prioritizing my health and fitness goals. The plan is individualized to my abilities and goals. The trainers are masterful at getting my best from me. The gym has plenty of equipment for the group and it is always very clean. The community at the gym is very supportive so I never feel out of place.

I joined On Target Fitness recently, after turning 60. Having had major back surgery a few years prior, I felt my strength/balance/flexibility wasn’t great, and realistically knew it would most likely decline further if I didn’t make improvements. I should mention I’ve never seriously lifted weights or worked with a trainer. In 3 months, I’ve seen improvements in all the areas I had concerns with. Improved strength, flexibility, balance, and overall well being. The staff here is great, full of energy (even at 5am), always there to encourage, push you to do more than you think you can, and to always celebrate your gains!I took a leap of faith and couldn’t be happier with the results. I’m convinced it’s never too late to make changes and improve your health. I would highly recommend On Target Fitness if you’re looking for a change!

Started at Target one month ago, getting back into strength training and conditioning with an injury and preparing for surgery. The coaches Katie, Joe and Ryan are friendly, encouraging, listen and help you get the most out of your workout. Oh.. did I mention inspiring...that too! I get help and attention each session and have had the staff tweak my sessions to meet my physical needs in the moment. Definitely recommend this "group fitness" approach with a personalized workout program to get you moving on your own fitness goals.

I just finished a few months as a new client at On Target while I was living nearby for the summer. It was the perfect gym experiance for my needs and I wish I lived closer to be able to work with them year round. They are a very special, knowledgeable, caring and empathetic team of trainers and the clientele is a wide range of ages, physical abilities, and body types who are all very friendly and warm so there is none of the insecurity or over the top intensity that you may find at other gyms. The group sessions were the perfect fit for my needs since I have never felt I wanted 1:1 training sessions every time I exercise but also wanted more guidance and introduction to a wider variety of weight training exercises and to make sure my form, technique, and posture was correct while doing them. Overall a very positive experience that I would recommend to anybody lucky enough to live close to Portsmouth.

I’ve been going 3x a week since the beginning of June and I can’t say enough good things about On Target.I’ve had a ton of false starts when it comes to fitness and this is the first time that a program feels like it’s part of my routine instead of burden.On top of that, I’ve seen serious and measurable results for the first time in my adult life!The coaches are all amazing and the workouts are challenging but manageable. I especially love the challenges that help make it fun.

Love this gym! This is the gym for EVERYONE. Every body at every level is welcome here... I love that people come and just do their best, wherever they're at. Alec, Ryan, Joe, and Katie make an excellent team. They provide personalized help, are quick to respond to inquiries and are all incredibly knowledgeable. Would highly recommend them!

The coaches are very knowledgeable and at the ready to help you through your workout. The workouts are designed specifically for your needs. If you are someone like me that needs guidance on what I'm doing, this is a great place to be! They have small group sessions and members are friendly. It's a great atmosphere to stay motivated!

The team is very welcoming and caters to anyone’s fitness goals. I feel challenged by the workouts but never intimidated. If you’re looking to take your fitness goals to the next level the guidance and structure is very helpful. I’d recommend On Target to anyone.

I've been a member at On Target Fitness for just over a year and I'm very happy with the results. I lost (and kept off!) the extra weight I had been carrying around for a while, and I feel healthier and stronger than I have in a long time. Alec and his staff work with people of all ages and abilities, and they've created a welcoming, fun, challenging atmosphere that seems to bring out the best in everyone.I've worked with personal trainers at other gyms in the past, and the simple fact is that they just weren't very invested in my progress. The coaches at OTF, on the other hand, design customized training programs and then pay very close attention during workouts. They correct your form (patiently!) so that you get the most out of each exercise and don't hurt yourself, and they challenge you work a little harder as your strength and abilities improve.It was hard to make a commitment to working out regularly, but I'm very glad I did. On Target Fitness is a great gym with awesome people - I highly recommend it for everyone.

On Target Fitness has completely changed how I feel about going to a gym. I have had lots of challenges along the way with my job, my health, sleep…etc…and they have been there for me every step of the way. I joined OTF a month ago and it is the first gym I ever joined. The experience has been great so far. I'm impressed with the coaches, their friendliness and professionalism. They are attentive and inform you when you are not performing the exercise correctly which I appreciate a lot. Thank you.

I am giving the On Target Fitness Trainers 5 stars for their professionalism, knowledge base in fitness, nutrition and CPR too. Have been at OTF for 11 weeks and am pleased to be developing strength, balance and joy with support from the program. The Women 50 and older program was advertised, was appealing and has been rewarding. One or two trainers are available to instruct, encourage and feedback so we are doing our exercises correctly and safely. Also participated in the April program "No Booze and no added sugar, no junk"!I recently saw my Physician who was quite excited that I was strength training 3 days a week, eating plenty of protein and drinking more water. I've been training with On Target Fitness for a few weeks now, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Alec, Katie, and Ryan are knowledgeable, accommodating, and super friendly. They are able to modify workouts on a regular basis (often times even mid-workout) to keep them fresh and challenging, ensuring progression.At On Target Fitness, you work in smaller groups which provides an opportunity for clients to receive personalized attention and support from their trainer. They provide individualized feedback during workouts, helping me improve my form and technique.The staff have been incredibly friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming and supportive environment. It's clear that everyone at this gym is committed to helping clients achieve their fitness goals.I would highly recommend this gym and trainer to anyone looking for a positive and effective fitness experience, whether you're a newcomer or an experienced athlete. On Target Fitness offers an incredible bunch of personal trainers, a clean environment and a challenging workout that changes regularly. You are carefully pushed by this intimate team. A great group of humans are customers and many are over 50 years of age. I find this comforting and less intimidating. If you are seeking a new workout, a way to stay motivated and consistency they are decent humans who would adore supporting you.
