This store in Portsmouth is such a wonderful shopping experience.
Every time I go- I'm greeted with amazing Customer Service. The sales folks love their customers & treat us with respect & are always most helpful. You can't beat the prices, selection & most important, the outstanding Customer Service that is provided. THANK YOU ocean state for your good work ethic!!!

I can't say enough good about this store! The staff is amazing, friendly, and helpful all the time (Sam is the lady EVERY retailer wishes they had working there) - often going way above and beyond to take care of us.
Merchandise is good quality (occasionally hit or miss with clothing but everything else is flawless), especially the foods. Lots of more exotic things that grocery stores don't carry. We like the mason jar Polish soups and all of the crazy flavored potato chips, for example.
Our trick is to buy a Crazy Deal item occasionally and then load up on essentials with the gift cards, so it feels like the fun stuff is free but we just pay for the essentials that we would buy anyway.
Occasionally the line gets long but after a few minutes they either open another register or it dies down. I typically just shop more until there is a lull.
Wish I had found OSJL years ago. We're newbies but totally in love with this place now.

I went in to purchase a gazebo. I found them and went to the help desk for assistance but no one was there. There were 2 cashiers each with 5 customers waiting. I found a gentleman on the floor and asked if I could get some help by the gazebos. He asked what I needed help with. I said I needed help lifting it (it's well over 100lbs), and a price on one of them. He told me there's a help desk that helps people like me. I was completely taken aback by the rudeness and complete lack of customer service. I left without purchasing the gazebo and the other things I had in my basket. I will never return to this store.

I had to use the motorized cart due to a temporary mobility issue. Though the staff were friendly and the merchandise on display was orderly, I had a lot of aisles I could not browse because of merchandise displays and restocking carts in the way. The walkway between the front of the store and the smallish aisles was the worst. This was due to a restocking trolley wedged between two aisle displays. There was no way I could maneuver the cart to turn down these aisles. I doubt that the store in Portsmouth, NH is fully ADA compliant.

This place is packed with great deals. Theres a lot of stuff here. Plan on spending an hour if you decide to see for yourself. Sometimes you can snag some top notch brand name apparel if you show up at the right time. The store is a little messy at times but who cares if you can save yourself some serious $$.

I think it depends on the location of the store! They're short on help!Depending on what you're looking for they have a great variety of all kinds of things from housewares to garden equipment, planters. Clothing, it's worth the trip!

Clean, organized, light and bright and very friendly associates in the store. I wish it was closer to me than the Portsmouth store as I'd be in it 1x per week at the very least.
