I recently had PT at Lighthouse and my personal physical therapist Bonnie was absolutely amazing, caring, compassionate and focused exactly to my issues that after a few visits I could feel improvement. Also I must also say the staff there is excellent as well. In the future I will definitely not hesitate to return to Lighthouse for any PT my doctor recommends.Thank you to Bonnie and the staff for making my visits something I did not dread and was very pleased with.

Hidden Gem.My son is currently a patient with Peggy and had some emotional and physical trauma as a little boy. He sometimes has a hard time regulating his moods now that he is older. Peggy has gone above and beyond helping my son find his smile again and feel confident in himself, as she has been able to help him let some old hidden traumas go. Even though she is not a Psychologist, her work is has been just as impactful. I highly suggest any therapist at lighthouse. Cranialsacral therapy is amazing.

The staff at Lighthouse are caring, compassionate, and all around phenomenal! If you've ever experienced traditional PT - you are in for a treat with their IMT (Integrated Manual Therapy) approach. All sessions are one-on-one for about 50 minutes; totally unheard of in the medical field today! The therapists take a whole body approach and spend time getting to the 'why' a body part hurts or isn't working well - often times finding the problem originates where you'd least expect it!Who'd have guessed that my plantar fasciitis was a symptom of tight hip joints!Incredible! Cannot recommend these folks highly enough!

I'm so grateful for Lighthouse Physical Therapy! They have helped three generations in my family with various issues. Their light touch approach is unique and extremely effective. I highly recommend the staff from both their Dover and Portsmouth locations. They are all professionals who really listen, gets to the route cause, and help.

Very grateful to have ended up at Lighthouse PT for treating my torn meniscus and meniscal cysts (which could not be operated on). I went from barely being able to walk, to once again being able to start jogging. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and Peggy’s treatments were truly attuned to my needs, gentle and supportive, yet highly impactful and empowering. As a plus, very session, though targeted to treat the knee, felt as though my whole body and mind got a boost. Thank you :)

I started going to Bonnie at the Dover location in May and cannot tell you how much of a difference she has made in my life! I injured my hip in a hard fall on a snow and ice-packed trail in Dec 2021. I went through the standard diagnostic and treatment routine of x-rays, MRI, a steroid injection into my hip and regular PT with a great therapist at a hospital-owned PT facility. That PT was what you usually expect - minimal soft tissue manipulation (usually with some weird spoontype thing; not even with the therapist's hands!), ultrasound, lots of physical exercising on bikes and strength training with weights and machines. Although my therapist was great, the PT didn't help. I found Lighthouse PT and scheduled an intake. One session with Bonnie and my hip felt better - I couldn't believe it. Lighthouse PT's approach to treatment is completely different from traditional PT, and honestly, I was skeptical at first. Bonnie's treatment regime consists of light touch, very slow soft tissue manipulation (almost like Bowen work) and no machines! She explained that we had to get my inflamed muscles and tissues to calm down and work together in my hip joint as a unit. She said that until everything got calmed down, released and working together, that the standard "exercise and strength train the heck out of it" PT I had been doing before was only making it worse. When I leave a session with Bonnie, I'm able to walk normally and my pain is almost gone. I'm so used to the traditional, hardcore PT with machines and weights approach that it doesn't seem possible that Bonnie's gentle approach could really make that much of a difference, but it does! I'm so grateful that my insurance covers this and that I found Bonnie at Lighthouse PT. I can assure you that you will notice a difference in pain and functionality after just one session at Lighthouse PT, and that their treatment practices are nothing like what you've experienced before with traditional PT. I wish I had found Lighthouse PT (and Bonnie) months ago!

I do not think I could say anything wonderful enough to fully encompass the amazing energy and passion I felt from the people at Lighthouse physical therapy! In only the briefest of sessions, I was relieved of pain that has caused many challenges over the recent weeks. I can truly say that I'm in awe and cannot wait to move forward in discovering just how much better my body can feel by working with people who love what they do so much. The knowledge and the care taken to truly pay attention is very apparent and makes all of the difference in the world! Thank you again!

As a gynecologist who works with women with pelvic floor dysfunction, whether it be pain or overactive bladder, I refer my patients to several PT offices in the area and I commend Lighthouse PT for providing my patients with an atmosphere that they feel comfortable in and results that are long lasting. Highly recommend for pelvic floor physical therapy!

I went to Lighthouse to treat recurring pain due to weak discs in L4-L5 area. Sarah got me back on track to a normal life, and I've now been 2 years without that issue recurring. I recommend them highly!

I just finished months of PT from a torn rotator cuff, with Lighthouse and I just can't say enough about them. I have full range of motion and full strength and I own it to their method of PT. Thanks so much to Dave and Todd!

Just had my second visit and it was great! After having an amazing physical therapist for years and their practice closing, I had to find someone who fit when the bar was set high. Their practice is professional, kind and quick to respond. Very happy to have found them!

I was diagnosed with two torn meniscus and severe arthritis in my left knee. My orthopedic told me I was looking at a knee replacement and that the tears were not worth fixing given the level of swelling. An acquaintance told me to go to Lighthouse PT but, I pushed back arguing that it's an hour and a half drive from where I am and that there were lots of PTs closer to me. But, he insisted. So, I went. For about six months I had difficulty walking up and down stairs. Running and long walks were out of the question. I saw David and besides working miracles on my knee he also picked up on an issue with my inner ear, which I hadn't mentioned. He went about aligning me from head to toe, showing me exercises for my knee and doing the fascia release work. After visit one my knee felt a little better and the swelling had begun to subside. After visit two my husband commented that I was popping up and down our stairs (we live in a 3 story house) like my old self again. It's been over a year and 6 visits later I can say that I am 90% back to normal with no surgery. I can go on long walks, tread stairs and even do the incline on the treadmill. Running still iffy and not recommended. I go back now and then for a refresh and additional work on my inner ear and neck which, as David told me, are all connected to the knee. Honestly, I don't know how he did it but he is truly a miracle worker. The staff at the front desk are also extremely nice and courteous, making the entire experience and outcome totally worth those long drives!

I went to Lighthouse weekly for 5 months and every appointment was great. Every therapist I worked with (Bonnie, David, Andy and Michelle) was great. I mostly worked with Andy and Michelle and they were both excellent and helped me get to a point where I was pain free. Aside from the therapist the rest of the staff were accommodating, friendly and very responsive to my schedule. Highly recommend Lighthouse PT!!
