I am sorry but your meat it is out dated, off color , or freezer burnt. Mushy bags of greens, way out of date cookies ?. I am sorry, but rotten is rotten and shouldn't be given away. Even if it's free.

It's really fantastic. I just wish there were options for some unhoused folks that have no way of storing and/or even cooking/warming the amazing food that Gather provides when you go there! You're free to pick and choose what YOU LIKE AND WHAT YOUUUU will make prepare, as well as eat! I've been to plenty of places that will give you the same old, stale, ingredients that "normal" people wouldn't even feed their dog ?
I am in NO WAY claiming to be ungrateful or blessed for having any places that will generously give food items! Wish more places were an almost exact copy or replica of this establishment!

The older bald man that volunteers here in the back is extremely rude and speaks down to people that receive help here. My friend is vision impaired and had a hard time seeing what was available in the frozen meat section and the friend accidentally took one extra of a meat from a section and got yelled at in a condescending manner and was so freaked out that person doesn’t feel comfortable going back. The older man continued to follow the person around and told them they needed to shop faster so others could shop. Sorry this person has vision issues and it takes them a little longer to shop, The person even said to the man I’m sorry I have vision issues, but he didn’t care. Train staff to have less of an attitude.

Gather:
A Review, written as;

Alighting upon arrival I was greeted with gracious and kind smiles, hidden behind some sweet and exotic pain that could possibly stem from learning that hunger exists in a place where nobody seems to realize it, the truth that love and happily ever after really doesn’t only exist in fairy tales. People in America starve to death on a regular basis and the government acts as if it isn’t happening. This corporation feeds people and just asks for a demographic which is a statistic based on the area in which you exist. That isn’t much to give them since they freely and willingly feed thousands of Seacoast residents each month.
Their facility is clean and kept well organized by volunteers who benevolently and with much love offer their time and efforts to change the course of history daily! Human compassion and love is such a lost art that most people believe that it doesn’t exist, that’s the saddest thing I’ve ever had to write. Just because someone’s delusional demands aren’t met doesn’t mean that love is dead! First it takes realizing that you’re being delusional then debunking your own thinking while consciously remaining considerate towards others.
In conclusion I believe they are a well-organized and integral part of the seacoast area and without which I would have most definitely perished by now. Thank you so much for being there when others love, light and hospitality seemingly has run out! You are all radiant and much loved! I appreciate you!

So important for those of us who work.....unable to collect food stamps. Very grateful. However I really wish people with food stamps would leave the food pantries for the tax payers that are paying for their food stamps.

I work SO hard to afford rent and food. Figured I would go on my day off to get some food to survive. Because my license didn’t reflect my current address they turned me away. Thank you for being a “A HUNGER-FREE” organization and not helping everyone. Staff wasn’t even that nice about it either. Would not recommend. Just wait for the trucks to come around. The actually location of Gather is not great.

This service is an incredible benefit to the surrounding communities and a very friendly group of people! They help so many who may otherwise go hungry. ?
