State Line Pet Supply
137 Plaistow Rd, PlaistowI have to say the customer service hit a new high. I recently purchased, among other things, a new leash for my Golden, then left it in the cart. It was going to be extremely difficult to get back within a day or two. Kurt the manager says.. no problem... I'll deliver it tomorrow. My goodness. Thank you Kurt...

PetSmart
11 Plaistow Rd 11 F, PlaistowOverall I give 4 stars for having lot of things for different animals. I would definitely recommend shopping around for what you're looking for as there's Petco and Stateline Pet fairly close by and most of the items we were looking for cheaper at Stateline Pet. The staff was friendly which is why I gave the 4th star.

Pet Sitting & Training
Free Dog
118 Sweet Hill Rd, PlaistowWe have been going to Free Dog about 5-6 times now and every time has been even better than the first. Emily is very talented but more importantly she’s helped us navigate the pitfalls of the doodle coat (as new doodle owners) without being condescending or judgmental. Our Gracie adores Emily and loves her spa days. Emily has the most pleasant and professional personality. She is also very flexible and accommodating whenever possible. I won’t consider taking our beloved fur baby to anyone else.

K9's Training & Doggy Daycare
2419, 134 Newton Rd Unit 5 & 6, PlaistowOn a scale of 1-5, this place gets a 10 for sure! I got my 90 lb purebred Rottweiler from craigslist, when someone was essentially dumping him. I didn't want him to end up on the streets or used for fighting, so I took him in. He was 8 and petrified upon entering my house with an already established dog pack and new human. I was nice to him and took care of him. I tried to exercise him the best I could, but was, by no means, a dog trainer. He was scared and reactive and had 2 biting incidents.I brought him to the vet. The vet told me to put him down bc he was "aggressive" and too much liability. Rescues could not take him bc of the bite hx and liability. I asked dog trainers their opinions, and many of them told me that if he did not respond to positive training that he should be put down. These were all professional, educated animal people telling me to kill my dog instead of working with him and giving him a chance. So while talking to those dog trainers, someone mentioned Joe T. from K9 Training and Doggy Daycare and that he was really good with big, scary looking, biting dogs. I gave him a call. I brought him in for an eval. Of course, my boy was bear toward Joe. Joe just went with it and wasn't scared at all. I was nervous to get my dog started with training that was not positive. HOWEVER-positive training was not going to change my rottie's behaviors. So I had to try something new.I gave it a shot and signed my dog up for the 6 week training. They did an amazing job with him. I'm very picky about who I let watch my dogs. I trusted that the staff was treating him well. Victoria was great with the communication part of it. I was nervous during the first week and called her often. She was polite and helpful every time. She sent videos and pictures of my big scary rottie being playful with everybody and behaving like a little angel, wagging his tail, etc. He just had to get over his fear issues and gain more confidence. They worked wonders on him. They treated him like he was part of their family. After the first week of boarding, I wasn't nervous at all. I knew he was just fine. I can't thank them enough for being so good to my dog. (And remember, this was the dog that many people essentially wanted dead). Because of Joe, Victoria, Anthony, and the staff, my dog was able to enjoy the rest of his life knowing what it was like to be a good boy. [And now I'm crying.]
