I've been using several rite aid stores for many years and I'll preface by saying I understand staff is short and times are very tough now for businesses especially pharmacies... I truly do.
Moved into the area 5 yrs ago, and never had an issue. This past weekend I came to pick up some scripts on Saturday , the pharmacist that' was working seemed to be really annoyed with me , no eye contact and just unhappy and miserable with life , no response, except to ask my birthdate ,just a stare when I picked up through the window which I usually do . I felt like I was annoying him , or he just didn't like me for whatever reason lol. I said kindly , have a good day . Nothing , just a yup , walked away.. later that day another script was ordered by my Dr . This pharmacist (same male) said it'll be ready Monday, hung up.. called today (mon) at 4 , not ready until Wednesday... frustrated because this is the closest rite aid near me. Please train staff to at least pretend to be a little friendly , mostly him. As far as the last script being pushed to 4 days total , just let customers know ahead if staff couldn't get to it or it's backordered, most peoole understand, whatever the case. Most of the staff here in the front and in the pharmacy are wonderful.. just takes one apple I suppose.

This is one of the cleanest Rite Aid I’ve ever used. The staff is friendly and professional. The selection is great.

Don’t work here. I don’t particularly recommend getting prescriptions from here either, but definitely don’t work here. The head pharmacist is absolutely terrible at working with people, either customers or team members, and makes the work environment unbearable if she decides she doesn’t like you (which happens to like 30-40 percent of new hires). She is rude and impatient. I honestly can’t believe rite aid has kept her on. They are chronically understaffed and corporate doesn’t do much about it. You get written up for taking a sick day- period (even if you have Covid or a serious illness). On the other hand a lot of the rest of the staff are friendly, and i don’t have as much experience on the front end of the store, but overall that side of things has been good. But experience with the pharmacy and head pharmacists absolutely warrants one star.

Main issues are understaffed (so everything is unpredictable and slow), and the main pharmacist is a proper head case. Blows up over nothing and incredibly rude to both customers and staff. If the speed of her temper and the speed of prescriptions being filled could meet in the middle they’d be in semi decent shape.

I wish I could give Rite Aid Pharmacy in Pittsfield, NH 0 stars. The pharmacy staff is rude, completely incompetent, 0 customer service skills whatsoever. It’s a hassle for me every month. They fabricate excuses to not fill my meds. They’ll say things like “oh insurance won’t cover adderall for people over the age of 18”, even though I’ve been taking it since I was 20, and she didn’t even try to bill my insurance. The next month again with the same meds, they won’t fill it because my insurance required a prior auth for the first time ever, allegedly. Neither my insurance company or my doctor had any knowledge of a request for a prior auth. They manage to “lose” my refills, including my birth control! Even worse, they give me attitude when I ask them to do their job. The girl working today has no business in customer service, she practically throws my meds at me, says nothing, no eye contact, I said thank you, she just said YUP and rolls her eyes at me! Sorry it was such a hassle you had to do your job. Oh and they print incorrect fill dates on the pill bottles. If they filled it on the 5th (and I know they did because I had to request the refill 4 times before they actually do it)- they will put it was filled on the 1st. Just avoid that place at all cost if you can and save yourself the headaches.

I have always found this store to have the things I need in stock and be clean and easy to find things. The people working there have always been friendly and courteous to me.

This review is on the Rite-Aid in New Market. The people that my wife and I worked with were rude and nasty. My wife needed to use the rest room and was told it was for employees only. Every other Rite-Aid we have been too provided rest rooms for customers. I had a coupon for Luke's Throat Drops. Which come attached to many bags. E ery other store accepts these coupons unattached but the woman I dealt with said they can not accept them unattached. She had to go and ask the manager, who told her to accept them this one time. I love the town of Newmarket but I will never set foot in this store again.

The pharmacist does not listen if she's already made her own (inaccurate) conclusion. Pharmacist violated my HIPAA rights in the store and yelled (false) personal information at the back of my head when leaving the store. Just awful! Drive anywhere else.
