Kingswood Camp for boys is one of the best places on earth. I was a cabin counselor from Jamaica summer 2023 and I will be going back for the rest of my life. I felt at home before I even came to America with the help of the amazing Directors. I got the opportunity to work with the best co counselors and ofcourse the most amazing kids. The diversity and inclusion of the camp was the best part about it, everyone was welcoming and I got to share my culture and learn a lot of new things at camp. If you are searching for the right camp to work or a camp for your child, I most certainly recommend the Kingswood Camp for Boys 100%. The best place on earth.

I know how hard it is to send kids off for the first time as a parent. So does Kingswood. This camp has been under the same family ownership for nearly 40 years. I have experienced Kingswood from all facets; as a young camper, a counselor, and now as a parent. This is not just a camp, it’s a place where legacies are born. A community where campers and staff alike yearn to come back summer after summer, from all corners of the globe. This is a place where lifelong friendships are cemented.I cannot emphasize how important it is to get that first experience right. Kingswood knows how to create unforgettable well-rounded experiences for your children. Shy or outgoing, athletic or activity averse; it doesn’t matter. Your child will have a blast!

Kingswood holds a special place in my heart. I went there each summer for 3 years starting when I was 12. Thirty years later, when my son turned 12, I sent him there. He's now at Kingswood for his 3rd summer, and it's his happy place. He spends 11 months each year looking forward to his month at Kingswood. I have no doubt that 30 years from now, my grandson will be a camper at Kingswood.

Absolutely amazing camp! This was my son’s second year and I wish I knew about the camp sooner. It feels like one big family. Unprecedented amount of personal attention, amazing counselors and staff who are more than dedicated, amazing activities, wonderful accommodations. My son comes back happy, with ton of new friends, and set of new skills he had learned. ❤️

My son absolutely loved his summers at Kingswood Camp. He even continued and became a CIT and counselor. The owners and staff are fun and attentive to every boys’ needs, and provide a safe, encouraging environment that allows boys to have fun, learn and grow. It’s not too competitive, but sports oriented. The food is great and the camp itself is gorgeous. Water sports and camp traditions are wonderful too.

I went to Kingswood every summer when I was 11 years old all the way through 16. I'm 25 now and I still remember the camp fondly. It is not an exaggeration to say that my time spent there helped shaped me into a better person today. I'll probably go back to visit one of these days just to say "hi" and thank them for being what they are.

Year 6 and my son counts the days- literally, til his return. The food is delicious, the bunks and facilities constantly updated and maintained and the vibe and energy is of ‘home’. My son talks of being a counselor and sending his own kids here someday. It’s all you could ever ask for, as a parent- to feel your son is extremely safe and properly watched while away, on a lake. But mostly- the camp is just SO FUN. My son has the time of his life, and friendships that have continued well past the summer.

Kingswood is a very special camp. My son has been attending Kingswood since he was 9 (he's now 12) and he has loved every minute of it. It has all the things many other camps have: beautiful clear lake, fresh air, scenery, amazing activities, sports, etc., but it has one thing very few have: intelligent, caring leadership with heart. A family run camp with a culture centered around kindness and really celebrating each individual. This can be seen in the kind of counselors they hire to the type of activities offered. Also, they seem to know just what little boys/young men like to do and they make all their events so fun and interesting. From truly amazing hikes (not many camps offer to this extent), sports, tubing, water skiing, fishing, even gardening and music -- it's all there and then some. My son regularly talks about Kingswood the other 10 months of the year and still laughs when looking at pictures of Kingswood, remembering all the fun things that happened there.

Kingswood Camp for Boys does a few weddings per year, and ours was absolutely magical. Rob Wipfler (who runs the camp) is very professional and helpful. The camp is gorgeous, especially in the fall as the trees start to turn. Weddings there are very DIY, so you’ll have to get your own catering, beverages, etc. However, your guests can stay in the cabins overnight on-site which is very convenient and fun. We finished our reception with late-night bonfires. Justin and Stephanie, two camp employees, are super helpful as well. They handled our sound systems, helped clean up from the reception, and were overall wonderful to work with. Plus, your venue fee will go to get supplies for the boys’ camp, which is a great cause.

This is a great family-run camp. My brother and I spend ever summer of our childhood (he started at age 8, I started at age 9) up at Kingswood on the shores of lake Tarleton. As we grew up, we both returned to work as counselors. These days, while we can no longer take summers off to work at camp, we recommend Kingswood to any family we know with young boys.
