Very disappointed to learn that Merrimack Auto is no more!
I had been a happy customer in using them for years and learned the hard way when I went to make a routine appointment and couldn't find their online portal. I called and was hung up on before I could talk to a real person. When I called again and pressed 1 for their Merrimack location, a surly man took my call instead of Brooke and the other friendly lady at the reception desk. Sensing something was amiss, I inquired about my observations and learned of the change. I will be shopping around for a new business to earn my loyalty.

I had a pretty bad experience here after going for 10 years now. They lost my appointment. Once they got the appointment sorted out they started the inspection but the next problem is with them calling to get approval for repair, doing the repair and then calling for additional repair they missed. Biggest issue was them telling me I need to get something fixed when I didn't. If I hadn't got a second opinion I would have been out an additional $1,200. I Spoke with the owner about this and he acknowledged I never needed the repair but he focused on blaming the employees that had nothing to do with the interaction. Based on that I recommend going somewhere else.

Ian has been the best breath of fresh air, it’s so comforting to be able to say we have found a mechanic since moving to the area that we can trust.
We recently had moved to the area from Massachusetts and had to get our car inspected, which had recently passed inspection in Mass. The first place we went to failed us and gave us a giant laundry list of repairs, which seemed a bit suspicious. My dad is a retired mechanic and he confirmed that I had reason to get a second opinion and thought what the original shop had quoted me was absolutely insane.
So we reached out to Ian for a second opinion and he confirmed our suspicions- our car did need a little bit of work, but nothing compared to what the first shop had quoted.
They were able to fit us in on a tight schedule which we really appreciate, and also explained in detail what needed to get done and why.
Thank you Ian, we will definitely be trusting you with our car for as long as we live in the area.

My husband and I have been taking our vehicles to Chad at Merrimack Auto for several years now and I can honestly say, we trust them completely! They never try to “sell” us. I am only visiting in the area -- I live in Maryland. I had a low tire alert come up on my car-- in the pouring rain -- far from home. There are many gas stations that do not have service stations. I found Merrimack Auto Center and they were able to check my tires out quickly. The staff are super sweet. I would definitely recommend this site. My dealership told me I needed my serpentine belt replaced and I didn't see how that was possible. After reading reviews for Merrimack Auto Center, I decided to take my car to them for another opinion. I cannot say enough about how kind and honest they were. I was actually told the belt absolutely was not in need of replacement! I was in and out before my appointment time and everyone was friendly and professional. I have found my new mehchanic!

Had an engine code error and first brought my car to another shop. The mechanic that worked on my car replaced everything he could think of, except the part which clearly was linked to the code. In his defense, the guy needed some dental work done and his insurance had lapsed. I just didn't feel it was right for me to pay for all of it. My plan isn't great either.So I called this place here and first spoke with the wife of the mechanic. She knew what part it was pointing to when I told her the code. Later I spoke with the mechanic (husband) who was going to do the work. He said he was pretty sure that was the issue and part that needed replacement. Dropped the car off and picked it up the next day. The mechanic did some diagnostic tests to confirm the problem, and his suspicions were correct. He replaced the part and the light has not come back on.Only other thing I could say for consideration is that the price seemed a bit high for the task. That said, they go by actual work time and the mechanic noted that the part was a bear to get off.I also talked with the daughter when I braced for impact on the bill. Very nice lady.I got a good vibe from the family running the Nashua location. They are down to earth and don't try to rush you off the phone when you are explaining the problem and they are giving you an idea what the issue might be. I would use them again for future work.Service: General repairs & maintenance
