Family business. Father has good attitude, but his son is rude. Not very upfront with pricing. More worried about the dollar than earning the customer. Always gets angry if you can't do the work.

Steve and Scott are the best!!! Especially good for people who don’t know about cars. My 1st time (many yrs ago) I was testing them and I knew exactly what was wrong with my car and what it should approximately cost. They literally saved my parts and showed me exactly what was wrong. Very honest and fair pricing. One time I told a lady in the waiting room that asked me what I thought of them and I told her “I’d rather change my gynecologist than my auto mechanic !”

As a young woman, I feel so incredibly lucky to have found trustworthy mechanics like Scott and Steve at Lowell St. Auto. They are honest, open about everything they're doing with your vehicle, flexible about pickup and drop off times and will take the time to explain what is wrong and why it's not working. Their pricing is more than fair and they'll work withing your budget to the best of their ability. I have brought my cars here for nearly a decade, recommended it to all of my friends and I'll never use another mechanic!

I moved to New Hampshire 2 1/2 years ago from New York and the first thing my dad did when my parents came to visit was ask a local man at a bar where he takes his car. Lowell Street Automotive was his first response and I’ve been faithful to them ever since. No amount of words can express how fantastic Steve and Scott are, both at their jobs and as humans. With my previous car and current car (both old and bought used), they have been honest in all their work, looking more to save me the headache and subsequent money put into any problems that come up than to squeeze me out of every penny. They also do their best to get your vehicle back to you quickly in a way that does not affect the quality of their work. I have recommended them to every single person who ever asks about a mechanic, and will adamantly continue to do so because they are what should be the standard for the industry in their work and customer service. Google only allows 5 stars. It’s not enough. I need double digit stars to give to these men and their work.

How do I put this into words... They have been my family's mechanics since before I was born. I grew up knowing that our cars (when buying a new one) need to be blessed by the Pope (Steve--- and now, Scott)... We take their opinions very seriously. If you need advice on a good, quality car, they will be honest with you! And they have never steered us wrong! These men are genuine, firm and fair and will get you what you need. I never have any trouble with them. I feel comfortable with them. A true family business.

Lowell Street Auto has been my go-to for over 40 years, and for good reason. Steve and his son run a tight ship, and their honesty and reliability are unmatched. They've been taking care of my car since Steve was on his own, and now with his son by his side, their expertise is even stronger.
When it comes to repairs, Steve and Scott are no-nonsense. They'll always shoot you straight and never try to upsell you on anything you don't need. That level of transparency is hard to come by in this industry, but it's what keeps me coming back time and time again.
I live in Manchester now, but I still bring my car to Lowell St. Auto, because for me, my car is more than just a mode of transportation; it's a member of the family. And when it comes to entrusting its care to someone, there's no one I trust more than Steve and Scott at Lowell Street Auto. They're not just mechanics—they're the best doctors my car could ask for. Steve and Scott are two of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet. To be world class mechanics on top of that is icing on the cake! I like to squeeze every mile I can out of my cars and Lowell St Auto has helped me run my 2002 Honda Odyssey over 300,000 miles. I keep meticulous records and Scott and Steve have helped me keep my cars and trucks running well for more than 624,000 miles. Problems are discussed and solutions recommended.
