Pros: Its immaculately clean, the standard workout area free for residence of Tara heights and supposedly open 24hrs, has enough barbells and dumbbells up to 100lbs for all strength levels. Cons: It is 62 degrees in this gym, better bring a jacket. They have some rearly great additional rooms such as a CrossFit style room, cybex room, trx room, but they cost $59/ month to get access. If you are a Tara heights resident, they will not let you pay the difference from the included standard membership to upgrade and will charge you the full rate. The premium membership does not seem to include classes either, not sure of additional costs for those. The Regular gym room used to have enough free space to do pushups/core/small HIIT workout without being in the way of others however they have since filled that space with rowers and bikes to supplement cardio equipment for their CrossFit studio, a studio which the standard members are not allowed access too. This significantly cuts down on the available space as it's already a small gym. Its ok for a quick close to your apartment workout, but I don't think I would spend the money for a membership if it wasn't free. This gym could be a hidden gem, but it isn't there yet.

The gym is good, lockers and quick bath facility available. They have good amount of variety of machines. A little bit small in size but okay don't have to wait too much for getting your turn. The treadmills need a little maintenance though. The gentleman at the office is not so friendly and even though he doesn't want to be rude the interaction is not pleasant. In the contrast the lady is super friendly.

Manager is too rude and has utter disregard to human values. Enforcing some rule is good. But misbehaving while enforcing some rule is unprofessional.I would give 0 stars if possible and would strongly recommend people to not join this gym.-----Since I don't see any reply option so I am writing a followup here. This is the email I received from Matt: "Please be advised your post on GOOGLE reviews has been read and replied to. Your post is damamatory, misleading and false. I believe your post was written to cause harm to my business and reputation. Remove your post today and I will not seek legal remedies."Readers can review the tone of both the replies and make an informed decision.

Well maintained facility; good for beginners to advance level fitness enthusiasts. Their new arrangements in the club to keep COVID-19 spread in check are really appreciable.

My company had a corporate membership with Gateway Hills Health Club before we moved from Nashua to Salem, N.H. in January 2015. In earlier this year I spoke with Matt Dispensa SR. about returning to the club. He said I could pay a monthly fee of $29.99 since I was a former member & I wouldn't be taking any classes. In early June I went there and joined. I gave a young man (Matt jr?) there my info & a credit card to put on file. He gave me a keycard, he showed me that it worked and all was good. I went to the web site to get info for health insurance reimbursement purposes & discovered that my account wasn't up to date. I emailed Matt and found out that they were not taking out the monthly fee and they needed a credit card to settle the account. I offered to come down on a Friday to get this resolved but didn't hear back. A few days later I received another email repeating the need for a credit card to settle the account & that the amount due was $359.88. I had been at the club for 5 months so I was a little shocked at the amount and questioned the additional $209.93 ($359.88-$149.95). I was told that my company owed them money. I told them that I was an employee and not responsible for the money. We continued to exchange emails to try & resolve the issue (the additional money was not brought up again). I offered to come to the club to give the info desired & was told that I could give the credit card number over the phone. I gave my cell #. A few days later I received an email stating he had called me twice & the calls weren't answered. I apologized for not answering, explained my actions & offered a solution. I twice called 603-809-6756, got the voice message service, left messages & didn't receive a return call. Another email or two were exchanged then on 10/1/17 I went to the club & discovered that my keycard was deactivated. On 10/2/17 I called 603-821-0084 to settle the issue. I spoke with Matt (Sr, Jr?), provided credit card #, asked if my keycard was active & was told that it was. The following morning I went to the club & found, to my displeasure, that my keycard didn't work. I went home, sent an email stating I wanted the keycard activated or I would demand October's fee returned & find another club. On 10/3 I was told to find another gym & that my fee would be returned. My fee was returned on 10/6. So to summarize if you want a health club which is incompetent & disingenuous Gateway Hills is the place to go. I am also canceling the credit card given to them because I don't feel comfortable knowing they have that information. Also don't say anything negative about them or they will threaten legal action.

[Attempted] a membership. Awful! No words to really describe it in there. The instructors/PTs are trained? I'm still trying to figure that one out. No one really cares about the progress of their members. The guy with the goatee is always "unintentionally" hitting on me. The female instructor with the baby is always conducting (chatting vs instructing) classes in the middle of the weight room which is insanely crowded as I'm stepping over people on the floor. I personally don't feel safe working out, lifting heavy weights with your infant dangling from your chest, sorry! There's no practice of safety, I'm banging elbows lifting free weights with guy to the left of me because the rooms is so small and the equipment is all over the place. I don't get any of it. The list is endless--Nothing makes sense here. Join at own risk.

We love this gym! The classes are great and the gym is very clean. The owners, Cathy and Matt, are wonderful people and very involved (they also teach several classes). It is a great, low pressure place - good variety of classes (with awesome instructors), members are nice, gym is open 24/7. We also like that people aren't constantly trying to sell you more membership or personal training sessions (like many larger gyms). We are so glad to have found Gateway Hills!

I've always wanted to try a yoga class, and so glad I chose Gateway Hills Health Club as the place to start. The variety of classes is great, and the instructors are phenomenal. No pressure and a lot of personal attention which I needed!!
