I came in to see if I could use the gym for a day to get some rope climbing in before I went off to OCS for the marines. The staff was super nice and gave me a 7 day pass so I was able to train the week before I left. This was a huge help to prepare me for my military training. The gym has a lot to offer such as flipping tires, rope climbing, monkey bars, sand bags, KBs, you name it they have it. Super cool gym, I highly recommend!!

Terrific training environment for serious athletes. Trainers clearly care for new people, but I haven’t had direct experience with them.Plenty of equipment for any athlete, powerlifting, bodybuilding, boxing ect. The turf area is huge which I like and the equipment is no-nonsense.My only gripe is that the plates are mixed styles. I appreciate the bumpers, but having 8 different kinds of metal plates with slightly different diameters is frustrating when deadlifting.Otherwise I really do love this gym. I can’t believe the value for money.

Great pricing, has what you need and none of what you don't. Best time to work out is pre-7 AM and you'll be able to use 99% of equipment without having to work in

I lost 120 pounds in 18 months, lost 13 inches from my waist, and went from size 24 to size 8. Everyone at this gym is super helpful and supportive. So much better than any big box place.

I've been working out here for about 6 months and it's great. I love the friendly staff and the community that trains there. If you're looking for a place with a ton of fancy amenities and shiny, new equipment to take gym selfies with -- this isn't for you. If you're looking for a place to go in, train hard, focus on your own workout, have fun flipping a tire or pushing a sled, then you'll be happy at AFC. It has its own personality and character and doesn't feel like a stale, corporate gym. People go in there to push themselves hard and it makes for a nice environment to stay focused and get the job done. I also love that it's not too packed in the evenings, so please don't read this and flood the place :)

If you are looking for the most state of the art, upscale gym, you may want to look elsewhere. But I chose this gym for the reasons I love it: affordable, unapologetically patriotic, veteran owned, never too crowded, no unnecessary frills, it gets the job done. Everyone is always friendly and no one seems to be “meat heads” here annoying everyone on a daily basis.

I have been coming to AFC for @ 8 years. In the past I have belonged to CrossFit, Powerlifting and various Commercial Gyms. This is by far my favorite Gym. You can get it ALL done here. I have met beginners to World Class Athletes and everything in between to include ALL ages here, it really is amazing. AFC is Clean, has friendly supportive members, knowledgeable staff, committed owners always improving and adding equipment, inexpensive membership, classes available, boxing, Muay Thai etc. Key card access on Sundays and Holidays what more is there to say? I feel lucky to have found this place!

I’ve been going to this gym since 2017, and I love it! I started out taking group classes, and then moved over to personal training. There are also plenty of cardio machines, and I did all my training here for running a 5k. My favorite thing is the atmosphere. I feel comfortable here, when I sometimes felt like I didn’t belong in other gyms

As someone who is a frequent gym goer, I could not recommend this gym enough. After attending the bigger name gyms like Fitlab and Bestfitness, I would prefer this gym for any type of training. Especially since I was not required to sign a contract for a simple month membership. I went to Bestfitness and they wanted me to pay $69 dollars for a single month. Here at American Fitness Center I payed $20 for a month membership with a veteran discount, I believe the standard cost would have been $26 dollars. The environment is so inviting and I recommend this place for all levels of fitness, but this place seems especially accommodating for entry level people as it does not have a “gym bro” culture. Everyone here simply wants to enjoy their workout. The staff are extremely welcoming and the owner is very nice and always walks around to make sure everyone is happy. The variety of equipment and space give everyone more than enough room to do their own thing and have their own space.

I've been going to AFC for nine months now and love it. My favorite thing about this gym is the atmosphere. Besides being clean and well-maintained, it really feels like a community gym. It's unpretentious. As someone who is curvy and wanted to go to the gym to improve my physique, I was initially very nervous about people staring at me or judging me for using the weights. I've gone to other, bigger gyms like PF and I always felt like everyone was looking down on me, and worse, I was fighting for equipment. Not at AFC. Everyone here is going to the gym to work on themselves, whatever that means for them. While of course you have many physically fit people here, there are also people of all ages, sizes, races, men, women, etc, each sharing a common purpose. I've never had a problem snagging equipment I needed or felt like I was in anyone's way. In fact, trainers and members alike have told me they've seen great improvement in me, which makes me feel so great. That's the benefit of a smaller gym - the people there remember you and root for you.I also love the boxing class. It's really popular here! I had never done boxing before and fell in love. It makes me feel powerful. Strong. And, best of all, disguises the workouts a bit! It's so much easier to work out when you're concentrating on pads and bags, and I end up burning 400-500 calories a session. Jason, and all the trainers, pay attention to your moves and help you improve your form. The classes are smaller too, usually around 10 people, so you can ask any questions you want and the trainers can pay attention to your form.If you're a nervous first-time gym goer like I was, or if you just moved here and are looking for a clean, community gym, this is the place.

Great gym! Lots of machines, a great selection of weights, clean, and overall a really friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend AFC to anyone in the Nashua area who wants to start exercising!
