We rented a boat from Goodhue for the day and had a great experience. Wonderful helpful staff. Easy parking. The process was quick and efficient. We were at the Meredith location. Nice marina, bowrider was new and clean. When we returned to the gas dock, they quickly filled up with gas, hauled the boat out for inspection and we were on our way after an awesome day of boating.

I recently purchased a previously owned R3 from Goodhue in Meredith. Within 20 min of leaving the marina I experienced an engine fault alarm. Called Chris. He came and retrieved the boat, diagnosed the problem as a faulty plug, replaced all eight plugs as a precaution, and delivered the boat back to my boat slip. All at no charge. Very responsive and professional service.

"Good morning! I just wanted to give a shout out for Scott in your service dept. He is cheery, polite and follows up with return phone calls and needed information. The guys in the service dept. all do a great job... but it's very important to have someone on the front line that is customer service driven and Scott is just that. Our boat is in, and we are happy campers! Thanks to all for your hard work, all year round!"

This marina is an institution on Lake Winnipesaukee. It has a marina with docking spaces for boats. They also have a store where you can purchase boat supplies like life preservers, cushions & compasses. There is a parking lot where you can leave your car if you're visiting or boating on the lake. They also sell & rent boats & everything you need for a gorgeous day on the lake. We purchase gas for our boat at the gas dock & they perform a fantastic community service by allowing the visitors & residents to have packages delivered to the marina store who places your packages in a little shed to the right of the store. This saves the seasonal residents & visitors from having to rent a postal box or having no location at all for their deliverers.

Our boat broke down in the bay by Shep Browns. They came out towed us in, tried to fix our boat at the dock and when they couldn’t, they gave us ride to Gilford to get our truck and trailer. Dan Goss went above and beyond for us and Shep Browns will now be our go to Marina. #shepbrowns#theyreallaboutcustomers

Quite decent now rider rentals for our family of 5. I think the level of service has gone WAY up since Goodhue took over the marina. We had a multi day bow rider rental, that had a random issue with the throttle. We putted back to the marina and they had a replacement boat waiting for us, free ice cream for the kids, and a discount on the rental. Excellent customer service from the front office rental team and the service team. Highly recommend.

RENTERS BEWARE!!!!! I have rented from Shep Brown's on multiple occasions. They are supposed to send you out with a full tank of fuel and you pay for what is used when you return. I noticed the boats seemed to use an excessive amount of fuel and became suspicious. On my next rental I took a look at the gas gage before going out and noticed it was not reading full. The attendant told me the gauges don't always read full even when the tank is full. I asked that they top of the tank as a precaution and sure enough the tank was short by almost 10 gallons. I thought that perhaps this was a mistake. However, when we rented again this past August, the boat did not have a working fuel gauge. I was told that they did not hook it up. They assured me that the fuel tank was full. However, given our previous experience, I insisted that they try to top of the tank. Sure enough, the boat was short about $30 in fuel. When I returned to the dock at the end of our rental they fueled the boat and I paid about $75 for the days fuel. The next day I looked at my credit card statement and there were two fuel charges for the same day. I called the marina and they tried to tell me that the boat was not filled the first time when I paid $75. So, apparently they refilled it and put in another $30. This is BS because I watched them fill the boat. I suspect they tried to put the fuel charge on my card from the morning before I left the dock, when they tried to short me on fuel. When I called the marina they would not remove the charge from my card. I asked to speak to the manager, but was told she was not there. I asked if she could please call me to discuss the issue. However, I never received a call from her. At this point I contacted my credit card company and filed a dispute. After investigating, the credit card company removed the charge from my card. I'm done with Shep Brown's - Goodhue Marina. Multiple fuel shortage issues and unauthorized charges just don't sit well with me and I suspect this is a possible scam at the fuel dock. GOOD BYE FROM A FORMER FREQUENT RENTER!

Gulbicki Towing on a underwater recovery of a Toyota pick up at the boat ramp at Shep Browns in Meredith, it had fallen thru the ice earlier this year. We needed a few more feet of cable as we came up short to connect to the submerged truck. One of the employee's from Shep Brown's lent us a sling strap so we could complete the task at hand. As I've said before anyone who drops what their doing to help us complete our assignment deserves a 5 star rating, a big thank you to the guys at Shep Browns Boat Basin

Exceptional customer service!! I sadly needed to move my boat from Shep Browns due to personal relocation and it will be very hard to final another place that comes anywhere close to treating their customers as family like Shep Browns. Dan in the service department went above and beyond to help me out! Not only did he do it willingly, he did with a smile and a level of reassurance that everything was going to be okay considering the stressful situation. Being new to boating, this was my first time loading my boat on my trailer, which of course was set up wrong to begin with by yours truly. After realizing that the trailer needed significant adjustments before loading the boat- after multiple attempts, Dan jumped into action with tools to make the needed adjustments in real-time. He worked with me, tools in hand to ensure the quality of the work completed safely before trailing the boat home. This type of customer service is what great companies strive for and should bend over backward to retain. Because of Dan, Ron and the service department at Shep Browns, I am virtual customer for life and will recommend them to everyone I know looking for place to buy, rent or store a boat. Mark

This is the VERY BEST MARINA!! Bill, the GM, has built an amazing Team! From Service to Sales, truly the best! Greg, Service Manager, is kind, thoughtful, smart and has his shop running efficiently- this coming from a 40 year Auto Dealership platform manager- it's the truth! Today, Dan, a former Technician, now Service Advisor, came out to the dock and personally repaired a hatch on my 28' Boston Whaler Outrage. Didn't hesitate. Given how busy their Techs are, he simply made the repair himself! James, Parts Manager, was hugely instrumental in the repair too!! Having purchased many boats here, the latest, from Chris the GSM, who is friendly, knowledgeable- an incredible joy to work with. Matt and Jeremy, in Sales, are great professionals as well! Even their seasonal staff is exceptional, too many to name personally- but hard working, service minded individuals- each and every one. Bob Slap, Sandwich, NH.
