On May 23, 2022, I went to the Meredith Citizens Bank to find out why I could not transfer money online from my HELOC into my checking account. There was a glitch with my HELOC not showing up online. I needed to transfer money to pay my roofing contractor. My point of contact person for my HELOC was not at the bank that day. I panicked not knowing what to do at this time. Two employees at the bank went above and beyond and took the time to help me. Because there was a glitch with my online HELOC account they had to take different steps to access my account so that I could pay my Contractor. I really appreciate what they did for me. I do not recommend Citizens Bank. We got a new Home Equity from another bank that sent a wire transfer to Citizens to close our home equity account there. It has now been 12 days since the wire transfer, and Citizens still has not credited and closed the account. They tell us "it's stuck on someone's desk". Starting to look like this may require legal action. In the meantime it appears they are still charging interest on a loan that they have received the money to pay off, and they are not telling us when this will be resolved. I strongly suggest going elsewhere.
